A stylish, contemporary villa set on the hillside close to the Baroque town of Scicli. This property offers total relaxation and privacy for the perfect holiday in the Sicilian sunshine. The inhabited part of the villa covers the first floor of a modern house that is built into the hillside and can sleep 8 people. The living area, on the upper floor, opens directly onto an enclosed terrace where guests can relax and dine al fresco. The stunning décor throughout the villa echos the ultra-modern architecture of the exterior. The central living area is open-plan, with large glass windows on one side, which lead out onto the private terrace and wide windows on the other side which look out over the pool. Inside there are sofas and a large TV, as well as a dining table and a breakfast bar which separates the well-equipped fitted kitchen. The beautiful kitchen has a cooker hob, oven, microwave, electric kettle, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. The shaded courtyard encourages indoor/outdoor living, as it is furnished with a seating area and dining table. The private, outdoor swimming pool (unheated) is on a lower level on the other side of the house. It is bordered by wooden decking, complete with sun loungers and a shaded area with smart armchairs. The panoramic view out over unspoiled hills allows guests to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. On the ground floor of the villa there are closed rooms which are not accessible to guests. Sleeping The villa has 4 lovely bedrooms each with a double bed, wardrobe and a private bathroom. Bathrooms The state-of-the-art bathrooms are beautifully appointed. They all have showers, basins, bidets and WC’s. Location In southern Sicily, close to beautiful beaches and historical sites, this villa is in an ideal position for guests to enjoy everything the region has to offer. It is on the eastern edge of Scicli, a jewel of a town, packed with Sicilian Baroque architecture, excellent restaurants and cafés where visitors can soak up the atmosphere. For self-catering, Scicli’s weekly market takes place on Tuesday mornings in Via Saffi. The villa is just 10 minutes from the coast. The medieval fishing village of Donnalucata is known for its wide, sandy beaches and sleepy atmosphere. It is home to several fine restaurants where you can sample the freshest local fish. Catania’s International Airport is a 1 hour 35 minute drive from the villa.
