The apartment is close to some of Salento’s most beautiful beaches, including Baia dei Turchi (12 minutes) and the Faraglioni di Sant’Andrea bathing rocks (5 minutes). For more active holiday-makers there is a surfing point just 2 minutes from the property and kitesurfing only 3 minutes away. Away from the coast visitors can enjoy the Alimini Lakes which are a haven for bird watchers. Alimini Grande is just a 5-minute drive. Here visitors can enjoy hiking, picnicking and swimming or they can hire canoes. The peaceful port town of Otranto (15 minutes) makes a lovely day out. Here visitors can enjoy the castle, a lively port and excellent restaurants. The weekly market (Wednesday morning) is a source of the best local ingredients to cook at home. If you miss the market there are several supermarkets in the town. The closest airport is at Brindisi - 1 hour and 5 minutes away by car.
