The property is ideally situated in easy reach of Stresa’s buzzing lakeside centre (a 9-minute drive), where guests will find tour boats to take them to the Borromean islands, and a 6-minute drive from ‘Passegiata Lungo Lago’, the picturesque lakeside promenade. Other nearby attractions include the lush gardens of Villa Pallavicino and Stresa’s main beach, which are both approximately a 4-minute drive. For golfers, Golf Club Alpino di Stresa and Golf Des Iles Borromees are both a 13-minute drive.
Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the nearby Mottarone Mountain (a 35-minute drive) with panoramic views across the Lake. This is the perfect destination for hiking in the warmer months and skiing during winter. Stresa’s Mottarone-Alpino cable car (a 9-minute drive) also offers a fun, scenic 3-leg journey up the Mottarone.
Lago di Varese, Lago di Monate and Lake Lugano are also within easy driving distance, as is downtown Milan (which is reachable by train within 50 minutes). The closest international airport is Milan Malpensa (MXP), approximately a 40-minute drive from the accommodation.

Our family absolutely loved the apartment, and the view was truly magnificent. The pool and air conditioning were a nice bonus during the hot weather. We found everything we needed for cooking, and the washing machines were a big plus. The beds were comfortable.

Die Wohnung war ordentlich und gut groß für 4 Personen. Der Ausblick auf den See war, wie gehofft, wunderbar. Die Küche ist etwas eng, aber mit allen notwendigen Utensilien bestückt, auch mit Geschirrspüler. Die Einrichtung ist insgesamt recht modern, Betten bequem, Schlafsessel auch okay. Es gibt zudem eine neue Klimaanlage. Da die Wohnung aber am Hang im untersten Stockwerk des Gebäudes liegt, war sie bei unserem Aufenthalt (26-30 Grad Tagestemperatur) ohnehin eher kühl und ist insgesamt auch etwas dunkel. Der Balkon ist gut groß, mit Tischchen, 2 Stühlen und 2 Liegen ausgestattet. Die Anfahrt zur Wohnung ist teilweise tatsächlich etwas enger und kurvenreich, aber auch mit einem größeren Familienauto machbar. Der Zug, der unterhalb des Grundstückes fährt, wurde von uns nicht als störend empfunden. Insgesamt war es sehr ruhig in der Anlage und wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Einzig die Situation am Pool hat uns nicht so sehr gefallen. Mit nur einem Schlüssel sind die 3 Türen auf dem Weg zum Pool etwas umständlich. Der Bereich um den Pool herum war zwar sauber, das Wasser auch, jedoch ist der Pool selbst optisch nicht mehr so ansprechend (Flecken an Boden und Wänden). Am Pool gibt es außerdem nur Stühle mit Schirmen, keine Liegen. Die Lage der Wohnung ist bis auf die Tatsache, dass man eben immer mit dem Auto die etwas lange Anfahrt in Kauf nehmen muss, schön gewesen. Für Ausflüge rund um den See gut gelegen. Im Ort gibt es zwei größere Supermärkte und jede Menge Restaurants und Bars. Die Betreuung durch HappyRentals war super. Bei Fragen oder Problemen wurde innerhalb kürzester Zeit geantwortet. Tatsächlich sehr lobenswert.
