Zadar's historic Old Town — with the atmospheric Five Wells Square and adjoining Land Gate at its entrance — is a 10-minute drive away, and the whole pedestrianised peninsula is walkable in around 15 minutes end to end: the Green Market and People's Square are a few minutes in from the Land Gate, Kalelarga runs through the heart of town, and the Roman Forum, Church of St. Donatus and Cathedral of St. Anastasia cluster together at the far end, with the waterfront Sea Organ and Sun Salutation just beyond. For day trips, Paklenica National Park is roughly 45 minutes by car, Krka National Park about an hour, Plitvice Lakes around two hours, and the Kornati Islands are typically reached by boat excursion from Zadar's harbour.
