Guests can enjoy La Dolce Vita, with a Swiss touch in Locarno. The Thursday market in Piazza Grande combines a farmers market where you can pick up the best local produce with stalls selling regional crafts and second-hand clothes, books etc. Bellinzona (25 minutes) is famous for its 3 medieval castles, which make up a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is a great day trip. If you miss the Locarno market then Bellinzona’s weekly market (Saturday morning) is one of the best in the region. The closest international airport is in Italy, Milan Malpensa is 1 hour 20 minutes away by car.
