In the heart of the vibrant city of Monopoli, Civico 72, is a ground-floor apartment for 3 people. Only a 10-minute walk from the harbour, this is the ideal base for exploring this fascinating, ancient port, as well as some of Puglia’s other beautiful towns. The apartment is a stylish combination of traditional, vaulted stone ceilings and contemporary décor. The owners have taken great care to create a relaxing, comfortable environment. The main living area includes a sofa, a neat dining table for 4 and an open-plan kitchen. The modern kitchen is well-equipped, with an induction hob, oven, a Dolcegusto coffee machine and fridge/freezer. At the back of the apartment there is a charming courtyard, furnished with a café-style table and chairs, so guests can enjoy drinks al fresco. Sleeping The stone-vaulted bedroom has a double bed, a single bed, built-in wardrobe and an en suite bathroom. A glass door leads to the back courtyard. Bathroom The bathroom is appointed with a glass shower, basin, bidet and WC. Monopoli is one of Italy’s hidden gems. Known for its lively bars and nightlife, the town’s cathedral and the Castello di Carlo are also worth visiting. For self-catering Monopoli’s vibrant, weekly market (Tuesday and Saturday mornings from 7.30am) is the best place to pick up delicious local produce to cook at home. Alberobello, (30 minutes) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as one of the centres of Italy’s Slow Food Movement. The town is a must-see. It is famous for its traditional Trulli houses and excellent restaurants. All along this stretch of coast, visitors will find some of Italy’s most beautiful beaches. North of Monopoli is Polignano a Mare (15 minutes) which offers excellent snorkelling in its clear waters. For history lovers, the archaeological museum at Egnazia (20 minutes) offers a fascinating glimpse into Puglia’s interesting past. The closest airport is at Bari, a 55-minute drive from the apartment.

Appartement conforme à l’annonce. Communication fluide et réactive. Propreté impeccable. Un peu léger sur les ustensiles de cuisine mais ce que nous avons demandé nous a été très rapidement fourni. Le gros plus : la localisation à mi chemin entre la gare et le centre historique.

Siamo stati al "Civico 72" per 6 giorni (inizio luglio), durante i quali ci siamo sentiti a casa. La posizione della struttura è ottima poichè a 4 minuti a piedi dalla piazza centrale di Monopoli (dalla quale poi si accede al centro storico), quindi centralissima, ma con un'ampia disponibilità di posti auto, la maggior parte dei quali su strisce bianche (gratuite). La struttura è posta al piano terra con accesso da strada ma la casa è acusticamente isolata e abbastanza fresca. È dotata di ogni confort e il terrazzino, seppur piccolino e chiuso tra pareti, è uno sfogo ideale da avere, anche solo per stendere i vestiti ad asciugare. Consigliatissima!
