Kercem is a leisurely 30-minute stroll away from the bustling town and capital of Gozo, Victoria. Victoria is a historical town known for its ancient medieval citadel and fortified walls with many museums and tours dedicated to its ancient history. Victoria is also the home to St. George’s Basilica known for its opulent interior. Independence Square or It-Tokk has open-air cafes and market stalls selling local produce and souvenirs. St. George’s square is brimming with al-fresco cafes and bistros. The island is easily accessible by ferry terminal at the Mgarr Harbour, the ferry takes foot and vehicle passengers and takes about 25 minutes to make the crossing to Cirkewwa Ferry terminal. The terminal is about 40km away from the airport. Malta has an amazing cultural heritage with 7000 years of history, the clearest water in the Mediterranean (snorkelling and diving world spot), walking/trekking tours, Land and water sports and lots of restaurants, bars and festivals.
