Spread over several levels, the apartment has been beautifully decorated. The open plan kitchen/diner is light and airy, thanks to French windows which open onto the terrace. The dining room is furnished with an attractive wooden dining suite and separated from the modern kitchen by an island. The sleek kitchen is well-equipped with an induction hob, oven, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine and fridge with freezer. There is a cosy seating area off the dining room, furnished with a sofa and armchairs and another separate sitting room, reached via a short flight of steps. Located in the middle of the Old Town, just behind the magnificent Baroque Basilica of St Michel Archange de Menton, the duplex is close to many amenities such as restaurants, cafés, bakeries and supermarkets. For the best local produce, head to the covered market, Le Marché des Halles, on Quai de Monleon (2 minutes walk). Every day of the week you can find the finest regional food including cheese, fish, charcuterie etc. The city beach - La Plage des Sablettes Ouest is just a 4-minute walk from the apartment, so ideal for a morning swim or a day by the sea. It is next to the Vieux Port de Menton (the old port) where you can find some of the world’s most expensive yachts. Nice airport is just 40 minutes away. Alternatively, Menton railway station is a 17-minute walk.
