Sliema is a vibrant coastal town located on the northeastern coast of Malta, in the Mediterranean Sea. Less than a 5-minute walk away is the town's picturesque seafront promenade, known as "The Strand," which stretches along the coastline and provides beautiful views that can be enjoyed from its selection of bars, restaurants and cafes. The town is also renowned for its excellent shopping opportunities and its streets are lined with boutique shops, designer brands and department stores, a paradise for fashion enthusiasts and shopaholics. From the harbour (a 15-minute walk), visitors can take a short ferry ride to the nearby islands of Comino and Gozo, famous for their pristine beaches and natural beauty, or visit Valletta, the capital city of Malta and home to a wealth of historical and cultural sites.
Visitors can also walk from the harbour up the coast to St Julian's (just 16 minutes from here).
