Icon H is an architecturally striking residence in the centre of Lugano. This second-floor (with lift) studio apartment makes a convenient and comfortable base for anyone visiting the city. It is just 20 minutes from the shores of Lake Lugano and close to many of the city’s most popular sites. The studio sleeps 2 people and consists of an airy living area with a comfortable sofa, coffee table and a flat-screen TV. A glass door leads out to a private balcony with a table and chairs, where guests can enjoy a cup of coffee in the open air. Back inside there is a dining table with 2 chairs, next to the kitchen, which is well-equipped with a cooker hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and Nespresso machine. The residence’s communal facilities include a co-working space, a ground-floor bar and restaurant with outdoor seating, a large garden, a gym and secure storage space. In the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland, Lugano combines the best of both cultures. This heritage is celebrated at MASI (the Museum of Art of Italian Switzerland) (20-minute walk). The city hosts many festivals throughout the year, including the “Luganomusica” festival every summer. A day trip on the Lago Lugano is a must, as is a walk along Lugano’s famous waterfront, with breathtaking views over the lake. Another favourite is Piazza della Riforma (20 minute walk), the heart of the city. It is a beautiful square lined with excellent restaurants and cafés. For self-catering, there are many excellent food shops in the city, as well as the farmers market on Tuesday and Friday in Via Carducci (20 minutes walk). The closest international airports are in Italy - Milan Malpensa 1 hour and 5 minutes away by car, or Milan Linate, a 1 hour and 20 minute journey.
