The flat is spread over 2 floors and has been cleverly converted, using contemporary décor combined with original features, including beamed ceilings. Access to the house is through the private, fenced garden and up a short flight of steps into the kitchen/dining room. The ultra-modern kitchen has been beautifully fitted out and includes a cooker hob, oven, dishwasher, coffee machine and a fridge/freezer. There is a dining table in the kitchen for casual meals.
The living room is next to the kitchen and is furnished with a sofa, armchair, large flat-screen TV and an open fireplace. Stairs lead from the sitting room up to a bedroom.
The garden has been as thoughtfully equipped as the interiors. There is a raised terrace area with a pergola and a dining table for meals al fresco. At the other end of the terrace is a seating area for reading or enjoying a glass of the famous local Chianti wine. On the lawn guests can relax on sun loungers.

Bedroom 1: On the ground floor, the master bedroom has a double bed, extensive wardrobes and a flat-screen TV.
Bedroom 2: This upstairs bedroom has a private balcony with panoramic views of the Chianti hills. It is furnished with a French bed, a charming dressing table/workspace in a stone-lined nook, a flat-screen TV and a wardrobe. There is a café-style table and chairs on the balcony, perfect for a morning cup of coffee.
Extra: The sofa in the living room converts into a comfortable single bed.

Location
The property is on the edge of the Medieval village of San Donato in Poggio, which is considered to be one of the prettiest villages in Italy. Surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, protected by the Chianti hills, it is an idyllic holiday destination. The village has bars, restaurants, grocery stores and a supermarket all within walking distance from the house. For the freshest local produce, the weekly market every Tuesday morning in Poggibonsi (15 minutes) is the place to go.
In between Tuscany’s two most famous cities, Florence and Siena (40-minute drive to both), the house is ideally positioned for guests to easily explore the historic sites and galleries in each. Closer is the town of San Gimignano (30 minutes) which was the Manhattan of the Middle Ages. Many of the town’s iconic towers are still standing and it makes a fascinating day out.
Of course, no trip to this area would be complete without visiting the famous vineyards of Chianti and sampling their excellent wines. Many of them also have restaurants, combining Tuscany’s two passions, food and wine. The nearest vineyards are Fattoria Montecchio (3 minutes) and Fattoria Casa Sola (8 minutes) where they also offer tastings and talks about the wines. However, guests will be spoiled for choice, as there are many wonderful vineyards close by.
The most convenient airport is Amerigo Vespucci Airport in Florence, a 40-minute drive.
