The ground-floor apartment has a cosy, open-plan living area with tiled floors. There is a sitting room with a sofa and flat-screen TV, next to the kitchen/diner. The kitchen is equipped with a cooker hob, oven, dishwasher and fridge/freezer, as well as a charming open fireplace. The dining table in the kitchen seats 4 people.
The upstairs apartment’s living area is full of light and has a glass door that opens onto steps leading down to a stunning terrace with outdoor seating and a BBQ. Here guests can unwind and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding hills. Back inside, the living room is furnished with a sofa, flat-screen TV, a dining table for 6 and a modern fitted kitchen. This kitchen is appointed with an induction hob, oven, dishwasher and fridge/freezer.
Sleeping
There are 5 bedrooms in total. 2 on the ground floor and 3 on the first floor. Each bedroom is furnished with a double bed and a wardrobe.

Location
The house is in the small village of Lucardo where there are two excellent restaurants, one with a magnificent view of the countryside and the other, a pizzeria, serving typical Tuscan dishes. Nearby are renowned estates that produce exceptional wines and olive oil.
For self-catering the weekly market in Montespertoli, just 10 minutes away (Tuesday mornings) is a treasure trove of fresh local produce. Alternatively, there are shops and supermarkets close by.
Some of Italy’s most beautiful cities and towns are within easy reach. Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance, is just 45 minutes away and offers some of the finest galleries, museums and architecture in the world. As do the cities of Siena (50 minutes) and Pisa, with its Leaning Tower (1 hour). Other towns worth visiting are San Gimignano (35 minutes), famous for its many towers, and, for “Twilight” fans, Volterra (1 hour), a fascinating town with Etruscan roots.
There are wonderful hiking and cycling routes nearby which will immerse you in the woods and glorious Tuscan countryside.
The closest airports are Florence, 36 minutes drive, or Pisa, which is 1 hour away.
