From this modern Studio, couples can enjoy the promise of breath taking lake views and a sedate holiday set at their own pace. Accessible by lift then steps, the modern 1st floor retreat offers a bright and inviting open plan Studio layout. Offering both access to the lake view balcony with romantic alfresco dining set and a larger rear terrace, the interior is ideal for relaxed and easy-going summertime stays. Within the main Living space, a comfortable sofa can easily be transformed in to a Double sofa bed. The lake view backdrop is ideal for tempting holiday lie-ins or breakfast-in-bed moments. The Living-sleeping area also features a flat scree TV and an optional high-quality Single-sized wall bed (which is stored neatly away in an integrated wardrobe). The bright and modern Kitchen Diner for 4 is well-equipped for stress-free meals in. An induction hob, oven, microwave, Dolce Gusto coffee machine, dishwasher and fridge freezer are provided. Accompanying the carefree Studio space is contemporary fitted shower room with wash basin, WC and bidet. A small gate next to the rear terrace leads through to the terrace of the adjoining retreat, known as ‘Sole di Meina’ (ID 1994). For larger groups, these two can be rented together, subject to availability. A set of communal sun loungers in the garden and an outdoor pool (open from 1st June – 15th September) provide a wonderful excuse to soak up some classic holiday downtime. The modern small-scale residence also features a private on-site parking space. The centre of Meina is extremely attractive; with pastel coloured townhouses, charming local shops, cafes, a passenger ferry stop, pretty tree-lined piazzas and breath-taking mountain- lake scenery to enjoy. From its strategic location along the western shore, guests can reach the popular resort town of Arona in 9 minutes by car, and Stresa in 22 minutes by car (for the food markets, Jazz festivals and Borromean Island boat trips). The town of Angera (home to Rocca di Angera castle and a lovely lake beach) is within 32 minutes’ drive away. Lake Maggiore is also very family-friendly; with Safari and Wildlife Parks, the Lake Maggiore Adventure Park and the Ondaland high-tech water park to enjoy and wind surfing, wakeboarding, sailing, diving, tennis, horse riding, golf and Italian Alp Skiing to take up. Perfect for exploring the wider lake region too, Lago di Varese, Lago di Comabbio, Lake Como and Lake Lugano are all within easy driving distance. Conveniently placed for year-round breaks, guests are just 33 minutes’ drive from Milan Malpensa airport and 76 minutes’ drive from the cosmopolitan Swiss city and airport connections of Lugano.
