House Gal is a beautifully renovated Karst homestead for up to 8 guests, with modern facilities and wineries all around! Restored to its authentic charm, this antique holiday house is bathed in sunshine and comes with air-conditioning, a fenced garden and private parking for a relaxing and carefree holiday. The two-storey retreat is built with earthy stone walls and evokes a romantic nostalgia. Upon entering the house, a hallway welcomes you to the impressively detailed and cosy living area furnished with sofas, flat-screen HDTV, american style coffee table and a fully equipped kitchen-diner. The two-storey house also features a lovely open gallery inside, where you can lounge and get together during the active hours of the day and find comfort for a good night’s sleep. Utilities like coffee machine, toaster, BBQ and oven are available to help prepare home-cooked meals, which can be enjoyed in the peaceful outdoor space of this family-friendly holiday retreat. You can also indulge yourself in the various homemade goodies of the hostess, including wines from the owner’s vineyard, spirits and liqueurs made from regional herbs and spices, jams, pickled vegetables, mushrooms and asparagus! Sleeping There are two charming double bedrooms with exposed-beam ceilings and a wardrobe. Two young adults can be easily accommodated on 2 single beds of the gallery. Location The holiday homestead is surrounded by several marked trails for hiking and it also has numerous hospitable wineries around, where guests can indulge in the original cuisine of the region. The closest hiking trail is the Pliska trail at a 7-minute drive, while the closest winery is just a few steps away, at Kraška klet Krstan. Additionally, guests can rent bicycles to explore this majestic region, which turns from Karst to the Mediterranean right here and has many romantic villages, vineyards, orchards and hills to discover. The holiday rental is also well-situated to reach the largest stud farm in Europe (22 minutes drive), Lipica Stud Farm, as well as the fascinating underworld of Postojna and Škocjan Caves within a 40-minute drive. Day trips to Triglav National Park and Ljubljana are just 1 hour-1 hour 20 minutes car ride from here. The closest airport is in Ljubljana, approximately a 1.15 hour’s drive away.
