Die unkomplizierte kurzfristige Buchung. Der riesige Balkon mit Seeblick war klasse. Restaurant und Kaffee im Haus. Was nicht so schön war, das Abfallsystem nur sehr unzureichend beschriftet und in zu wenigen sprachen, wodurch alles mehr oder weniger in eine Tonne geworfen wurde. Der WC Sitz war nicht passend rutschte immer hin und her:(

We had an extremely good week in Porlezza. We had visited the town before but this was the first time we had stayed. We booked the apartment because of the proximity to the lake and the views - and we weren't disappointed. Wonderful sunrises and even more spectacular sunsets. The contrast of the snow on the mountain tops, the autumn colours on the trees, the blue skies (most days) and the light on the waters of the lake made it all unforgettable. All the reception staff were wonderful - pleasant, welcoming and very helpful. The apartment was well equipped and adequately furnished - we would have preferred a small oven/grill instead of the microwave, but that's our taste. We enjoy the lakes because we have always found everyone in the shops, bars and restaurants very tolerant of our struggling Italian and eager to please. We certainly couldn't fault anywhere in Porlezza - the pizzeria on the block was excellent and the staff, once again, very helpful. We did enjoy the Pizzeria Penguin for it's service and value for money. The Restaurant IL Pozzo in Menaggio is a personal favourite. We also had a good lunch in Restaurant Franco in Bergamo High Town. We ventured up into the hills to visit Castello, Carlazzo and other villages - invigorating drive and wonderful views. Almost everywhere deserves a detour - so much is hidden away and only accessible on foot. Villa Carlotta was definitely worth the time and being slightly out of season not too busy - some parts of the garden we had to ourselves. Como town and the lake excursions - always enjoyable. The funicular railways that abound in the area provide an unusual variation to walking, boating and driving - having two in Bergamo was unexpected. So much to do and not enough time - more visits are essential. Thank you to all those in Porto Letizia who contributed to a great week. All the best,

Mid July, extremely hot, AC not working, very vague explanations given by the receptionist. Basically he had no idea how many days it will take for the AC to be repaired. Dirty area rug in the livingroom, probably never vacuumed. Sticky, dirty unusable hair dryer. We found hair in the bathroom drawer.

Großes Strandbad (kostenpflichtig) nebenan - mit Campingplatz. Fußweg 15 Minuten in den Ort. Das Restaurant in der Unterkunft war sehr gut!
