Located along the Ionian Sea on the Salento Peninsula of southern Italy, the coastal resort of Torre Lapillo is known for its beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters and relaxed atmosphere.
In addition to swimming and sunbathing, visitors can enjoy a variety of water sports and activities, including snorkelling, diving, windsurfing and paddleboarding. There are also boat tours available for exploring the coastline and nearby islands.
The Salento Peninsula is home to several nature reserves and parks where guests can explore the local flora and fauna. One notable reserve is the Porto Selvaggio Regional Park (a 30-minute drive), known for its coastal trails and scenic beauty.
Apulia is also known for its wine production and there are several wineries in the region that are worth visiting including; Cantina Vecchia Torre and Conti Zecca, both approximately a 20-minute drive away.
Those in search of cultural insight will enjoy the historic town of Gallipoli (a 40-minute drive), including its old town situated on a small island and nearby Nardò, (a 20-minute drive away) which is known for its well-preserved Baroque architecture, medieval castle and charming squares.
