summer, the city of Lugano transforms into a vibrant cultural hub with the Long
Lake Festival. Scheduled from July 9 to 26, 2026, this multidisciplinary
open-air festival offers a rich tapestry of music, theatre, art, and
family-friendly activities, all set against the stunning backdrop of Lake
Lugano.
Since the 1970s, LongLake Festival has grown into one of Switzerland’s largest and most engaging open-air cultural festivals. It unites international and local artists, cultural associations, and visitors of all ages in a lively celebration of art, music, and community.
What to Expect?
Over 18 vibrant days, the LongLake Festival transformed Lugano into a lively open-air cultural stage with an impressive 300 events. By bringing together highlights like Estival Jazz, Blues to Bop, and Lugano Buskers alongside concerts, performances, family activities, markets, and urban art, the festival created a dynamic blend of culture and entertainment. With renowned national and international guests and plenty of interactive experiences for all ages, LongLake offered something for everyone while celebrating creativity across the city.
