An Iconic Running Event by the Lake

StraLugano returns on 26–27 September 2026 for its 20th edition, offering a vibrant weekend of running, fitness, and fun in the heart of Lugano. The 2026 edition marks the 20th anniversary of StraLugano, highlighting two decades of running culture and participation. This milestone edition will also host the Swiss Half Marathon Championships, adding a competitive edge to the event.

The event spans two days and includes multiple race formats designed for different fitness levels, from beginners to experienced runners.

Race details 

StraLugano offers a varied programme across Saturday and Sunday:

Saturday events:

  • 10 km CityRun (certified course)
  • 5 km FunRun, suitable for beginners and casual runners

Sunday events:

  • Monte Brè Run (mountain race format)
  • 21 km Half Marathon (official championship race)
  • Half Marathon Relay (team-based participation)
  • 3 km Run4Charity
  • KidsRun for younger participants

All main routes are officially certified, making them suitable for competitive runners aiming for personal best timings.
