Nine Days of Wrestling in the Capital of Croatia

The Senior World Championships 2026 bring together the world’s top wrestlers for seven days of elite competition. Held in Manama, Bahrain, this edition marks a historic moment as the country hosts the event for the first time. From intense qualification rounds to high-stakes finals, the championship showcases the best in Men’s Freestyle, Women’s Wrestling, and Greco-Roman disciplines.

Organised by United World Wrestling, the World Championships are one of the most important events in the wrestling calendar. Athletes from across the globe compete across multiple weight categories, aiming for podium finishes and world titles.

24–26 Oct: Greco-Roman begins (qualifications, semi-finals, finals & awards)

27–29 Oct: Men’s Freestyle (qualifications, semi-finals, finals & awards)

30 Oct – 1 Nov: Women’s Wrestling (qualifications, semi-finals, finals & awards)

Daily Format:

Morning: Qualification rounds & repechage

Evening: Semi-finals, Finals & Award Ceremonies

24 Oct: Opening day of competition

Ultra Trail Vipava Valley 2026

Up for a challenge along the peaks around the blooming Vipava Valley? Vipava Valley Ultra Trail is a trail running race that takes place in the Vipava Valley region of Slovenia. The race offers four different distances: 165 km, 110 km, 59 km, 30 km, 15 km 10 km and 11 km hike. The routes take runners through the scenic landscape of the Vipava Valley, with its rolling hills, vineyards, and historic towns.The race attracts runners from around the world and the terrain is challenging, with steep ascents and descents, rocky trails, and varied terrain, making it a great test of endurance and fitness.
