Their was plenty of parking and the apartment was only a very short walk from the car park. It was easy to gain access to the apartment, where a welcome gift of wine and snacks was waiting for us. The apartment was clean and very comfortable, although it could possibly benefit from a little TLC as some things were a little tired looking and there were lots of duplicated pieces of equipment which felt a little cluttered, but nothing that spoilt the stay. The apartment had amazing views and was ideally located for exploring the area. The pool was lovely and was never busy, we often had the whole pool to ourselves. I can definitely recommend this apartment and area for anyone who wants to visit Lake Como.

This was a beautiful stay. The views are breathtaking and we loved our private it felt. The bed was firm but comfortable and the AC was a huge bonus! It’s 1000ft elevation from Varenna so if you don’t have taxi scheduled the walk is pretty brutal. 25 mins of incline on cobblestone rocky area. Definitely reach out in advance to figure out your rides. Taxis are few and far between in Como. Honestly, staying here was the highlight of our time in Como! Just beautiful views.

Wonderful stay! Home was clean and well presented. Their was heavy rain expected so they allowed us to check in early, very grateful. Despite the heavy rain, being in that location and lovely home was great. Highly recommend.

This nice apartment had a beautiful view overlooking Varenna and Lake Como. It was all as it was advertised. We received a welcome box from the property manager with wine and goodies. Very much appreciated. It would have been nice to have a little dish soap in the apartment as several of the utensils hanging over the stove top still had food on them and need washing. But overall we loved the apartment and would recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay in Perledo (which adjoins to Varenna), the town itself is absolutely stunning and with this property the views are just exceptional as you’re set up quite high in the mountain, you can watch the sunset over Menaggio from the balcony. It’s worth pointing out that there’s a nice walk down to the main town which takes about 20 mins, the walk back up though is not for the faint hearted though but you can grab a taxi or drive if you’re not feeling adventurous. The apartment itself is very well equipped with everything you need to cook, drink, eat and relax, it was impeccably clean too with everything you’d expect to find too. Overall a real gem and would highly recommend to others

This was a fantastic location. I stayed at 8 places on my journey across Switzerland, France, and Italy. This place wasn't the most expensive. It was the best place i stayed in. I hope to stay here again soon.

- absolutely stunning views, probably one of the best on the lake! - peaceful and quiet location - well equipped kitchen - easy access to good walks - welcome box was a lovely touch A few tips for future travellers: - We stayed in August which was peak season, so we really struggled to eat out at a restaurant in Varenna, so would recommend booking a few before you visit - The apartment is located up the hillside which means you will definitely need a car. It’s a ca.30min walk up for the average person and it wasn’t too difficult but very hot. We tended to drive down into Varenna and park in one of the free spots by Villa Monserrato as you are leaving the town. However, we had to get up and head down early (8-8.30am) to grab a spot and most were already taken. There’s a multi-storey car park down there too which we used once, but we saw that full a few times too (but again, this was peak season August) so just make sure you have a plan each day for parking otherwise be sure you are happy to do the walk back up the hill to the apartment - It’s very easy to catch a ferry to some of the neighbouring towns. We went to Menaggio for a hike and Bellano for a morning. Despite it being peak season, we only saw 3 other people on our hike, which was amazing. Make sure you check the ferry times though as you don’t want to get stuck across the lake having missed the last boat -they didn’t seem to run that late

Aber wir freuen uns noch sehr über den schönen Urlaub in Varenna in Vista d`Oro Palma Apt. 21, es hat uns sehr gefallen. Das Appartment ist sehr schön, sodass wir auf alle Fälle wieder bei Ihnen buchen werden. Varenna ist der ideale Ort für ein verliebtes Paar, sehr romantisch. Und die Aussicht vom Appartment ist traumhaft, wir hatten deshalb vor einigen Jahren ja schon einmal hier bei Ihnen gebucht. Kritik haben wir fast keine, lediglich war die vorherige Endreinigung nicht besonders gut, es war ziemlich staubig. Da Sie nach Verbesserungsvorschlägen für den Service fragen, fällt uns nur eventuell ein Brötchenservice für das Frühstück ein. Viele Ferienwohnungen bieten es mittlerweiler an, das wäre schön. Ansonsten ist nichts zu verbessern, Sie haben uns gut betreut. Wir empfehlen Sie Freunden auf alle Fälle weiter und würden gern spätesten übernächstes Jahr wieder bei Ihnen buchen ! Reiner, Germany

Nous avons passé deux nuits au lac de Côme, dans un cadre absolument magnifique avec une vue à couper le souffle. L’emplacement est très calme et assez proche de Varena (environ 30 min à pied), mais il faut savoir que l’accès est difficile sans voiture, et qu’en voiture, le stationnement peut être compliqué. La maison est située en contrebas, donc la remontée à pied est assez sportive. À notre arrivée, nous avons dû remettre le courant car les plombs avaient sauté suite à défaut sur l’alarme incendie. Le ménage pourrait être un peu plus soigné (poussière et quelques toiles d’araignée dans les toilettes et la chambre). L’équipement est correct mais pourrait être amélioré pour le prix. Malgré ces petits points à revoir, la beauté du lieu et la vue exceptionnelle font vite oublier les désagréments.

The apartment was very well designed and spacious with all the amenities required for our stay. As our stay was early June the pool was not overcrowded and at some points it was just us, which was brilliant as we could sunbath and use the pool. Although the above was good, there were some points that could be addressed, to make it an excellent experience, such as reviewing the clutter in the cupboards and utilities room, removing the old high level cobwebs in the window area and shower room and servicing the aircon, as it was working but did not really do much. The views from the balcony were amazing and and the noise level was great too for a relaxing holiday, although the outdoor seating was a little tired and could do with updating, as there are signs of rust on the glass coffee table and the chairs could do with reviving. All in, we would consider returning, as it is a great base for all the locations on Lake Como.

View from the balcony was fantastic and breathtaking. Bed was comfy. Place needs a good deep clean. Was not well swept and the counters were dirty. The bathroom has a very strong musty smell The blankets for the bed were tucked away in a closet and did not appear to be clean.

La vue est imprenable, une des meilleures du lac de Côme. Cela vaut le coup de loger à Varenna qui est un des villages les plus mignons. L’appartement est très agréable, spacieux, très bien équipé, ménage correct. L’accueil se fait à distance et une explication très complète est envoyée en amont pour accéder à l’appartement. On peut profiter des 2 piscines de la résidence qui offrent une vue sur le lac également. L’équipe répond rapidement aux questions (même s’ils n’ont parfois pas la réponse).

The view was absolutely stunning! The terrace offers a gorgeous sunset and view of the lake. It is easy to walk to the ferry and shops/restaurants down the hill. The apartment is nice, but it does feel like you're in someone else's home in terms of clutter and personal items. Overall, a wonderful stay.

Fantastic view. A good work out going up the hill after having dinner in town. Would recommend getting rid of the large white accordion apparatus which is a room separated, as it takes away from the room space and view. Front door lock can sometimes be finicky.

The view is an 11. Unfortunately, very consistent with past reviews we had issues with cleanliness and some very fixable things...like leaving accurate WiFi login info. The wall partition deal is a disaster, was piled in a corner. Place is poorly decorated...not even as nice as picture. Not a criticism but hard to find at night and you have to have a car. We enjoyed our stay but some small issues are holding this place from its potential.

Beautiful apartment high above Lake Como. Hiking and scenery are fantastic. Upon arrival there was a maintenance problem which the Property Management fixed immediately when we phoned. Ideal for guests willing to hike or who have a car.

Check-in would have been a breeze if the keys were in the lockbox. We ended up sitting on the apartment steps for 1 hour & 45 minutes waiting for someone from the property management company to deliver the keys. When he arrived, he opened the door & gave a simple “Sorry” and walked away; no compensation for our lost time. Upon entering, there were electrical cords strewn across the floor, cobwebs in the corner & bugs in the bathroom. A cheap accordion paper divider with nonfunctional LED lights separated the couch & the bed, which fell over every time the wind blew. Another light fixture above the exterior entrance door was hanging by its wire. Just poor design/functionality layout & worse property management. The view from the balcony was incredible!

We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment - we stayed for 6 nights in August. It is definitely big enough for a couple and the balcony is bigger and better than it looks in the photos. The view was spectacular. We also had a lovely welcome pack waiting for us on arrival. The bedding and towels were clean and if you like to cook, the kitchen was very well equipped. In fact, the apartment overall was well stocked with cleaning products and utilities like a washer/dryer and good air conditioning. We felt that the place was private and not overlooked. I would not recommend this place for those with mobility issues, however. The hill between Varenna and the apartment took us 20-30 minutes to climb and it’s very steep and a cobbled path. It’s around €15-20 each way from the apartment to Varenna so you could get quite expensive. We are both fairly fit in our late 20s/early 30s and we struggled in the heat. At the apartment itself, there are several flights of stairs to get to the front door as well. There are also a few issues to be aware of - there are strict rules surrounding the bins/recycling and electrics and we experienced some basic issues like the lock on the front door being too stiff for one of us to use. There is also a drainage problem in the bathroom sink that needs addressing and the light on the outside balcony doesn’t work so we had to bring a lamp out from inside which wasn’t ideal. These are minor things that could be easily fixed. Overall we had a good experience and would come back!

Die moderne FeWo hat eine fantastische Lager mit wunderbaren Ausblick. Die Anfahrt und der Zugang ist sehr einfach und entspricht der erhaltenen Beschreibung. Kleinere Verbesserungen: Keine Kaffeemaschine oder Filter, nur Aufkocher. WLAN nicht verfügbar - mussten das schwache Signal vom Nachbarappartment nehmen. Waschtisch sehr niedrig, Betten relativ hart und ohne Schonbezug, Abstellraum ohne Regal (fliegt alles umher), TV winzig... Dennoch, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt - sogar bei dem ein oder anderen nächtlichen Unwettern.

We stayed 5 nights in September. The complex is fairly new and perched on the side of a mountain looking down towards Varenna. The views from the balcony of the unit are breathtaking. Nothing but mountains and lake. The trade off was that we didn't have a rental car and we had difficulty getting taxis to get up and down to the complex. Once it took us 1.5 hrs to get a taxi to take us back up after dinner. The path down the mountain is walkable going down, if it's not too wet. It is steep and has cobbled rocks which get slippery when wet. We saw some people walking up in hiking boots, but we were not dressed appropriately. But it was dark by 7:30pm and there is no way we could walk up in the dark after dinner. We found a great new restaurant near the bottom of the hill Veranda Dei Pescatore. We liked it so much we ate there twice, since they had a shuttle to take us up and down from the complex. Food and service were fantastic. As far as the unit, it was comfortable, but had not been thoroughly cleaned. Dust and cobwebs. But bathroom and kitchen were well equipped and bed was fairly comfortable. We didn't spend much time in the unit since we spent our days exploring Varenna and the rest of the towns on the lake. If you have a rental car and some bravery with the narrow switchback laneways going up and down, you should be fine.

I must start by saying that we had a wonderful holiday and there is nothing negative to say about anything. After we booked the holiday we appreciated the regular email updates and the instructions on how to find the apartments were very helpful, especially the photos. Would recommend information about the nearest supermarkets. Danilo was very helpful. I was able to text him with a couple of queries, to which he replied promptly. The apartment was fantastic, especially the wonderful views. The kitchen was very well equipped for a one bedroom property. The bathroom had just been refurbished and was better than we had seen in the photos. The illuminated toilet was very impressive! As was the large walk-in shower. The apartment was spotlessly clean and smelled very fresh. We used the lake to travel to other towns -we found the boat and ferry services prompt and efficient. We enjoyed an excellent dinner at The Vista restaurant and some tasty and reasonably priced light lunches at various bars and restaurants. We enjoyed a walk to Castillo de Vezio, the views from the top were breath-taking. We visited Lenno on Tuesday morning when the market was on, and walked round to Villa Balbianello in the afternoon. We took the longer walk back through the woods to Lenno. This was a very scenic route where we found wild cyclamen and Alpine strawberries growing by the path. A lovely surprise was to hear a cuckoo calling behind the apartments every evening. Because the apartments are surrounded by trees the birdsong was wonderful to hear. One of our favorite outings was a drive up into the mountains behind the apartments, where the views of the lake and snow capped mountains were even more impressive. We saw and heard goats wandering around with bells round their necks and a hillside covered with wild flowers including orchids where many brightly colored butterflies were feeding. There was also a cuckoo calling here - truly heavenly and to be recommended. Attached are a few of our hundreds of photos taken on our wonderful holiday. Thank you for helping to make it so great.

My girlfriend and I have had one of the best holidays on Lake Como! Our holiday home was just perfect for us. The views from the private balcony were out of this world and the open plan living room had a great mix of the contemporary and charming, with its high beamed ceiling and fitted kitchen. The bedroom was a great size and very comfortable for us. The complex had a fanatastic sunny terrace and swimming pool so we had a great time relaxing in the sunshine! Varenna was within a few minutes driving away so we could explore the resort town easily and also reach Bellagio and Menaggio from the ferry service there. We had a great stay and enjoyed dining out, swimmming, relaxing, sightseeing and enjoying the fun lake activities. Lake Como offered some truly great and lasting memories. Thank you!

Our comments: Everything was just perfect, we absolutly loved the apartment - and the view!! Oh wow!! Where do I start? There just wasnt words for it. So to say we were overjoyed with the apartment, and the location and the view is an understatement. It just made our holiday, and there was nothing better than just sitting on the balcony absorbing the wonderful view, or watching the sun setting with a glass of wine (from the bottle that was so kindly left for us on our arrival!). All the books and brochures that you had sent us before we arrived, and what was in the apartment was perfectly helpful and gave us an idea of what to do and see on the lake, along with providing us with any essential information we would need for the holiday. It was easy enough to find, and the directions were straightforward enough. We said on many occasions that we would have to return, and I would also reccomend this apartment to anyone. It was clean and tidy, and so spacious, with THE most beautiful view I have ever seen. The balcony was huge, along with the lounge and the kitchen which had everything we needed, and we enjoyed sitting at the table, with the view eating some yummy Italian food in the evenings. Great location in Varenna (we felt like we had the best location on the whole Lake), great apartment and it made a great holiday - would HIGHLY reccomend.

Der Blick aus der Wohnung ist einmalig. Die Wohnung selbst war nicht sehr sauber. Überall an der Decke und an den Fenstern hingen dicke Spinnweben. Da es schon Oktober und die Nächte nicht mehr so warm waren, hätten wir wärmeres Bettzeug benötigt. Es gab aber nur das übliche dünne Laken mit einer bunten Tagesdecke, die man darüber legen konnte. Im Schrank war ein fleckiges Daunenbett, für das es aber keinen Bezug gab. Kaffeemaschine leider defekt, zum Glück haben wir aber gern den italienischen Kaffeebereiter benutzt. Flaschenöffner ebenfalls defekt. Der Fernseher von der Größe eines PC Monitores hatte kein Signal zur Antenne. Der ganze Kabelsalat lag offen herum. Staubsauger noch nie geleert. Die Gastherme, die sich im Wohnraum befindet, hat die ganze Zeit gebrummt, manchmal wurde das Brummen sehr laut und dann wieder leiser. Dieses auch nachts und wenn man kein warmes Wasser bezogen hat. Ansonsten eine schöne und ruhige Anlage.

The view from the property was breathtaking and the complex itself was very nice and well organized. We were disappointed with the cleanliness however. There qere spider webs in the bathroom the duvet for the bedding had stains on it and there were fingerprints on the cupboards.

This is NOT a one bedroom apartment but a studio apartment utilizing a flimsy paper accordion divider to create a bedroom space, which unfortunately blocks the view of Lake Como. We repositioned the divider closer to the bed to increase living space and improve the breathtaking lake view. The balcony offers a delightful perspective of Lake Como, including views of Menaggio and Bellagio in the distance. Please be aware that the pool is located uphill and behind another building.

The place was clearly not cleaned when we visited. There were big dust bunnies on the floor next to the bed, cobwebs and dead bugs in corners. The floor was dirty, not wiped and I don't know what else wasn't clean. The tea kettle had residue in it and there were spiders in the shower and other areas. The only reason this place isn't 1 star is because of the location and the views of lake Como.

Lorsque nous sommes arrivés, le chauffage était allumé au maximum,j'ai essayé de joindre le service le 24 / 24 sans résultat, après maintes tentatives auprès des différents numéros de téléphone figurant sur le contrat, mon interlocuteur n'a pas daigné me renseigner précisément , je me suis débrouillé par moi même concernant la coupure du chauffage et la mise en route de la climatisation ( mon interlocuteur m'affirmant par ailleurs qu'il n'y avait pas de climatisation dans l'appartement loué !!!!! Service nul si vous avez un problème surtout en arrivant un dimanche , il n'y a personne, Par contre le lieu est agréable bien situé PS la piscine n'est pas ouverte toute la journée !!!! Ce n'était pas précisé dans le contrat

The view and location are great. Only accessible if you have a car and parking is easy lots of room. It was nice to have a washing machine. Bathroom was large and shower good. They gave a nice welcome box with wine which was lovely.
