We had 2 nights there, so we really enjoyed staying in this apartment. Wonderful views of the lake, quiet, far from all the busy tourist area. Swimming pool was very enjoyable. Spacious kitchen /dining/living area next to the large patio. Communication with the rental agency was great and the directions and self check-in were great. The minuses: my husband found the carpets and bedrooms had a musty odor, possibly because the area might be humid (and he has a very sensitive nose). A car is necessary, unless you like climbing the road for 30 minutes or so. Parking is very large there, not a problem. A good tip when you visit Varenna with a car. Parking on this side of Varenna is very challenging, unless you are early in the day. Crossing downtown toward the south is not possible (it is a one way) and Google map did not know that. Instead, drive north toward Bellano, and take « via Della Foppa », which is a tunnel which will bring you on the other side of Varenna where you can find large parking structures.

Het was een mooi en ruim appartement met een schitterend uitzicht en een heerlijk terras. Super locatie en we hebben een fijne tijd gehad, echter hebben we ook wel wat verbeter- / kritiekpunten. Er worden hoge verplichte schoonmaakkosten berekend, echter was het appartement echt niet schoon toen wij erin trokken. Overal was het erg stoffig en smoezelig. De matrassen zijn echt vreselijk. Ik kan me niet herinneren dat we ooit ergens slechtere matrassen hebben gehad. Er is een ruime badkamer, maar wel met een mini douchecabine. Met een gemiddelde lengte van 1,83m is de douchecabine echt te klein. Op onze 3e dag wilde we 's middags naar het zwembad gaan, maar deze bleek opeens leeg!! Dit kan echt niet. Ook moest tijdens ons verblijf de ketel een onderhoudsbeurt krijgen. Jammer, dat dit tijdens ons verblijf moest en dat de monteur na het schoonblazen niet de viezigheid op het aanrecht opruimde. Dat hebben wij zelf maar gedaan. Tevens miste we ook al wel wat dingetjes in de keuken, waaronder een snijplank en een kaasschaaf. De waterkoker lekte ook behoorlijk. Al met al een goede beoordeling voor het appartement en de locatie, maar wel met een kritische noot voor de noodzakelijke verbeterpunten.

Great views of Lake Como. The apartment was well furnished and spacious. Very quiet area away from tourist crowd. Large apartment complex with plenty of parking if you have a car. To walk to the downtown area there is a mix of steep trails and street walking. About 20 min walk downhill and 30 min walk up. A taxi cost us between 12-15 Euro. Restaurants closed early in town so plan to eat by 6. Many shops are closed on Sunday so plan ahead. There is a small store to buy basic food supplies, a pharmacy, a salami/cheese shop, and a bakery all around the central plaza where the church is.

August 2017 The directions were very good to get to the house. no problems there at all. The views from Vista d"oro ulivo #4 are truly breathtaking. Varenna and Lake Como are amazing and we had a wonderful week exploring so many different villages in the area. Everyone in the office that we spoke to was very nice and while we were in Menaggio visiting, we stopped in the office and received alot of good recommendations from the staff. June 2017 Check-in was a breeze. Very helpful folks with professional attitude. The place is great. You need a car, but if you have one it's very convenient to Ravenna and Lake Como more generally. Sit out on the porch and watch the sun set over the lake. Vince, UK

September 2016 Stunning views of lake como, we couldn't of asked for anything more for our honeymoon. It's a perfect location for visiting Verenna and the ferries from here provide easy access to reach other areas of the lake. Balcony provided has sun loungers and a table so we were lucky enough to eat dinner with a gorgeous sunset every evening looking over lake como and back drop of mountains. They had provided a full pack of information on the local area. All required amenities are provided, even a hair dryer :) Rachel, UK

Die Ferienwohnung liegt sehr schön mit einem tollen Blick auf den See.Die Einrichtung hat jedoch einige Mängel. Die Betten und das Sofa sind in die Jahre gekommen. Da müsste auf jeden Fall nachgebessert werden. Decken waren verstaubt und konnten nicht benutzt werden.Bei Ankunft lag verrottetes Grünzeug auf der Terasse und es stehen alte Terassenstühle Liegen rum. Der Pool war in Ordnung.

Beautiful spot, but difficult to access without a rental car. We were travelling on foot/train/bus and we had to rely solely on the 2 or 3 taxis in the township. The walk was ok downhill, but very arduous going back (We're in our 70's). We chose Varenna as it much more affordable than Ballagio, and the views are simply breathtaking. With a car, this would have been perfect, but we also found that the locals were very accommodating and actually took us home in their own vehicles a few times...that's why we love Italy! The room itself was adequate, but the hosts were very skimpy with allocating one dishwasher pellet, one washing machine tablet and 2 small rolls of toilet paper for a couple staying 4 nights. When we requested more, they begrudgingly dropped off one more of each at the door. The instructions to the apartment were clear up to the point of reaching the carpark, but then even with a local resident's help it took us 30 minutes to locate the key box. All-in-all, a nice stay but the view and clean night air, and the lovely locals in Perledo made it memorable.

Fantastisk beliggenhed, fantastisk udsigt, nem indtjekning, veludstyret køkken. Alle sengene er elendige, vi sov dårligt samtlige nætter. Wifi ekstremt dårligt.

Udsigten var fuldstændig fantastisk! Men sengene var så elendige at vi var to voksne der måtte sove på sofaen i stuen - da sengen både var fugtig og ukomfortabel at sove på. Fjedrene i sengen mærkedes tydeligt! Begge soveværelser lugtede og føltes fugtige. Badeværelset var slidt men brugbart. Udeområdet var fint pga udsigten men meget spartansk. Poolområdet var også slidt - og ikke velholdt. Det virkede som om det ikke rigtig blev vedligeholdt. Helheden var acceptabel da udsigten gjorde at det op for de manglende ting. Men vil anbefale at stedet lige får en opgradering

Was auf den Fotos nicht ganz ersichtlich ist, sind die Balkons oberhalb der Terrasse, so dass andere Gästen einen auf der Terrasse beobachten können (was wir nicht weiter schlimm fanden). Größtes Minus waren die Matratzen (vor allem im Kinderzimmer steinhart!) und der fehlende Sonnenschirm, obwohl ein Schirmständer auf der Terrasse vorhanden wäre. Abgesehen davon eine wirklich tolle Wohnung mit herrlicher Aussicht, auch vom Pool aus. Die West Ausrichtung und die Höhe sorgen für direkte Sonne von Mittags bis Spätabends.

Thanks for your e-mail. We had a nice stay in Varenna and at the apartment. The view was great, and the welcome with a bottle of prosecco and milk was nice. The place was nice and clean. A bit far from the city, but with a car it was no problem.

Sarah and I have had such a great time here! Not only were we given a great discount as we were just a couple staying but we also had the most amazing lake views from our sunny private garden! The interior was very stylish and all fully-equipped, so it was really ideal for a self-catering stay. We found plenty of amenities on offer by car in Bellano and Varenna was perfect for meals out and ferry trips to Menaggio and Bellagio. There was alot to enjoy on the central lake and the places we can recommend inlcude- the Jungle Raider park up on the Varenna hillside, the outdoor centre above Bellagio and the watersports (ask HHH Entertainment- they're so helpful!) Our holiday was also really made by the private boat tour we enjoyed and the paragliding. Thanks so much!

Thanks HHH for a great time! We were all were big big fans of Lake Como and our holiday apartment! Such AMAZING VIEWS! The complex was great for families and the hillside location was very easy to reach with our car rental. Varenna was very closeby which made it so easy for us to get around and explore the central lake. We'll be returning to the lake soon!!

Our place was stylish, spacious and had some amazing views of the central lake. Really sunny too. There was a swimming pool which was great for the kids to enjoy with the other families, plus Ann and I could easily keep an eye on them whilst we relaxed on the sunloungers. I would advise trying one of the local Lidos and beaches also, just to keep it varied. The ones we tried were in Bellagio, Menaggio and also the public beach in Lierna. We found Bellano offered lots of useful amenities for us and Varenna had lots of quaint restaurants plus a useful ferry service. Our family loved Lake Como, so thanks for such an really enjoyable stay!

We had a fantastic holiday! Me and my family really enjoyed Ulvio Apartment 4. The rooms were very bright, spacious and also very well furnished. We had a full kitchen and a beautiful garden. The lake views were so incredible! There was a pool and parking in the complex. We found a tree climbing centre on the hillside above Perledo and there were also cooking lessons which we enjoyed, with the help of HHH. We enjoyed Lierna beach especially because we could try the lake swimming. Varenna was a very beautiful place and we will certainly return. A very nice holiday home. Thank you HHH!

Our family of four enjoyed the holiday very much, mainly because of the scenery, the villages, people, food and the Italian shopping outlets. We found the property easily, and the fact that you have the key service done in this way is really great – thank you! We visited frequently the ice cream/coffee house in the port of Varenna, and enjoyed the restaurants at lake side, as well. The boat rental was great, I am not sure if it was informed, but if only cash accepted, please inform that always before hand. But Como is beautiful and water refreshing. Kind regards

The space wasn’t very clean, so many bugs everywhere, cobwebs in the corner and stained sofa/seat. The view was nice but not worth the hike all the way up and down each day. There was no bus and it was very hard to get a taxi. I would recommend staying closer to the town if you’re taking the ferries.

The view was unbeatable and the communication was thorough. The property itself though left much to be desired - tiles coming up on the floor, hot water turned off (with no forewarning of this from owners), unclean floors and dishes, no dishwashing liquid (and only two dishwasher tablets for three days), heating not working properly, and a damaged frypan.

Boendet hade en fantastisk vy. Det bästa med hela boendet. Utöver det inget extra med detta boende. En lampa var trasig i sovrummet vilket gjorde att det var mörkt därinne. Detta påtalades men åtgärdades inte så länge vi var där under fyra dagar. Det var också stopp i avrinningen i duschen pga för mycket hår vilket lätt kunnat åtgärdas med bättre städning.
