I really enjoyed my month-long stay in this apartment. In fact, I am looking forward to staying here again next year. While this place was great for me, I realize that it might not be a good fit for everyone, so here are the pro’s and con’s that might help you decide if you should stay here: Pro’s: The view of the lake from the dining area is simply stunning. I can’t imagine a better vista. The location was perfect for me. A short walk from the train station. A nice nine minute walk down to the Coop supermarket. Less than 15 minutes to virtually anyplace downtown. The apartment is well appointed with appliances, dishes, and glassware. It has air conditioning. The beds are comfortable. I appreciated the 61 steps on the stairs to the apartment (yes, I counted them almost every day). It was a great opportunity to get some cardio exercise. Con’s: There is no sidewalk in front of the building – just a small curb, then the busy road. You need to allow up to an extra couple of minutes for the traffic to pause so that you have time to dash across the street to the safety of the sidewalk on the other side. For me, it wasn’t a deal killer; it was just a minor annoyance. The apartment is missing some basic cooking tools, such as a spatula, a soup ladle, and chopping knifes. If I’m back next year, I’ll bring my own kitchen knife. The apartment has a nice oven, but it is virtually unusable because there are no baking pans in the apartment. The only oven pan I could find was a cookie sheet under the broiler. In fact, the oven was used to store frying pans and a wok (and the wok does not work with the induction stove, as the base of the wok is not wide enough to cover the induction burner completely).

We loved the location, views, and cleanliness. We wish we would have been advised that the washing machine was not working. Having some coffee pods/tea bags for the first morning would be appreciated too. All in all, we were very pleased. We would come again! One thing you should have a look at is the shutter on the living/tv room window. It looks like it is not securely attached on the right hand side. We were afraid to open it.

Wir fanden es wirklich sehr sehr schön. Gesehen große Wohnung mit vielen Fenstern. Zusätzlich gab es zwei Päckchen mit Seife, Shampoo und Duschgel und ein Päckchen mit Spülmittel, schwamm, Tab und Sppültuch. Es gab ausreichend Kapseln für die Nespresso Kaffeemaschine, die in der Kwohnung ist. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder buchen.

Schöne geräumige Zimmer , grosse Fenster mit Blick auf den Luganersee ..Nicht optimal waren : Küchengeräte funktionnieren nicht gut , die Kaffeemaschine war defekt . Das grösste Problem , wie auch das Gefährlichste , war der Uebergang von der Hauptstrasse C. Mairani zur Haupttür des Hauses " Todeszone " , nicht geeignet für Kindern und ältere Leute .

The place had a great view and was spacious. However the building was very hard to access from the road, and we found that it was not clean. The sheets had sand or dirt in them, and the pull out couch had many stains.

The location of the flat is great. Close to the train station and the city centre can be reached quickly. The entrance can only be accessed by crossing a busy road and is therefore not suitable for small children / pushchairs. The flat is also not barrier-free for wheelchair users. Inside the flat is very nice. Simple furnishings and great views from the two balconies. It also has two air conditioning units which is great in the hot summer temperatures. The kitchen is well equipped. The flat was cleaned overall satisfactorily.

The unit was very clean and in a wonderful location close to the train station and downtown Lugano. The beds were comfortable and the light and views from the windows were wonderful. The entrance was a little terrifying having to race across the busy road to squeeze into the vestibule to open the door. A little heads up on the website would be good so that renters are aware that everyone needs to be fit and able to race across the street AND climb 4 winding flights of stairs. The sounds from the hallway bathroom are unfortunately crystal clear for anyone in the other bedroom- not very private at all.

Gute Lage, 10 Gehminuten vom Bahnhof entfernt, tolle Aussicht auf den See von der Wohnküche aus, 15 Gehminuten vom Zentrum entfernt, Küche gut audgestettat, Doppelbett im Schlafzimmer sehr bequem

Nuestra experiencia fue 7/10. Puntos de mejora: el edificio se encuentra a la orilla de una calle bastante transitada por lo que cruce a veces es dificultoso. El edificio tiene mucha humedad y el olor destaca bastante dentro y fuera del apto. El apto está ubicado en un 4to piso en escalera de caracol sin elevador. Cuando llegamos el código de entrada no funcionaba por lo que nos pusimos en contacto con Iván que amablemente nos resolvió, al igual que el internet que no funcionaba tamb nos ayudó rápidamente. El apto no tiene a/c ni en la sala ni en la habitación principal solo calentador, fuimos en verano y hacía muchísimo calor de día y noche, el a/c solo está en la cocina y el la habitación secundaria pero no alcanza a enfriar todo. El baño es amplio pero el lavamanos estaba tapado y no funcionó. Puntos que tiene a favor: la vista increíble al lago, el tren pasa atrás pero no ocasiona ruido igualmente la calle principal. Está ubicado en el centro de Lugano sin embargo para ir al centro hay que acceder por gradas que son 100 o más gradas o por la calle que es cuesta, la estación de autobús más cercana es en la estación de tren que está a unos 10 minutos caminando en cuesta. El apto cuenta con lavadora/secadora lo cual fue una ventaja. En general la estancia fue tranquila y en nuestra opinión el apto lo calificamos con un 7/10. Lugano es hermoso, muy seguro y muy caro $$$$, tiene bastantes opciones para comer y caminar, es pequeño el centro se conoce en un día.

Im großen ganzen waren wir zufrieden mit der Unterkunft. Es gab jedoch einige Kritikpunkte. Als erstes die Parkplatzsituation bei unserer Anreise mit dem PKW. Leider gibt es keine kostenlosen Parkplätze in Nähe der Unterkunft. Die einzige Parkmöglichkeit ist ein öffentlicher Parkplatz der Werktags von 07:00 - 19:00 gebührenpflichtig ist. Die maximale Höchstparkdauer beträgt 2 Stunden. Des weiteren der schon etwas gefährliche Eingangsbereich. Nach nur einer Stufe steht man auf der viel und schnell befahrenen Hauptstraße. Die Treppen nach oben ersetzen das Fitnessprogramm. Die Waschmaschine funktionierte leider nicht weil kein Strom auf der Steckdose war. Das Schlafsofa hat schon bessere Zeiten erlebt. Gut schlafen ließ es sich darauf nicht. Die Ausstattung der Küche war ok allerdings wird es für 6 Personen schon etwas eng. Im Badezimmer gab es einige Schimmelstellen. Ansonsten konnte man am großen Küchentisch gut mit 6 Leuten sitzen und die wirklich tolle Aussicht genießen.

L’appartamento internamente è molto carino, ha tutto il necessario ed ha una vista spettacolare sul lago. L’appartamento si trova vicino al centro ed alla stazione ferroviaria

The apartment itself is fine and the view is great. Unfortunately it is located on a busy road with no sidewalk that opens directly on to the road. Do not stay here with small children. It is not safe. The building is also very old with no elevator. The washing machine was not functional and we had 2 power failures during a 2 night stay.
