The location was amazing, apartment was unique and truly Italian which I was very happy about - true to the pictures. We had a car, which is needed. Spacious....and access to the pool was wonderful. Fans were present when we arrived which was important due to the heat when we stayed. Arrival instructions were wonderful and spot on. There were two unfortunate instances of the electricity going out but that is out of everyone's control. The Lake Como staff were EXTREMELY responsive and helpful for everything that we needed. A very nice welcome basket/box was there when we arrived. My one suggestion is that the apartment have a short instruction sheet to help guests ensure they follow owner preferences for garbage, details on how to use the wash machine and troubleshooting when the electricity goes out. That could help alleviate some of the smaller questions to the Lake Como staff. Overall, a wonderful stay and we'd go back!

September 2017 Stayed here for 2 nights with a group of 6 adults and we were very comfortable. The house was great - the best part are the views of the lake and the infinity pool. Most of our time was spent hanging out by the poolside. We definitely appreciated the showers - hot water & good water pressure. We took cabs to San Siro and downtown Menaggio that were a little pricey - 40 euro each way for a van, but definitely worth it. We had a great time at the house and would definitely come back again!” Meg, UK

September 2016 First time to Lake Como & not sure what we loved more....the lake or the Villa! Fantastic setting & breathtaking views from the infinity pool which felt like our own private pool as there were no other guests in the other apartments. Kitchen was well stocked with all the equipment you would need & is the hub of this Villa because of the view. The power shower was also a god send! The host / management were the best we have experienced so far! Very friendly, informative & so helpful - they made the stay that much more enjoyable. Any queries or problems were swiftly resolved. August 2016 We had an incredible time at Gaeta Bellavista. The villa is spacious across two floors, well-equipped and the pool area is lovely. Menaggio is just a few minutes drive away (also possible to walk) and the staff at the agency were very helpful in recommending a supermarket, boat rental company and lido etc. We had a few queries before arriving and the agency were always very quick to respond. Address! Finding the villa was not easy, we spoke to several local taxi drivers who had no idea where the address was - we tried giving them the coordinates as well. My number one recommendation would be to give them the address of the hotel villa la gaeta- it’s directly across the street. The location is gorgeous! Truly unbeatable view from the pool. But it is about a 45 minute walk into Menaggio, which is where you need to be to take ferry’s to the other towns (Bellagio, Varenna, etc). Some of the walk is easy and nice, other parts you are seeing your life flash before your eyes as you navigate tunnels with “sidewalks” about a foot wide. The shower pressure is great, house is well stocked, even cushions to lounge by the pool! Fans for every room as well. Only small complaint would be the beds are quite uncomfortable and the place didn’t feel like it had a super great scrub, but wouldn’t say it felt unclean. Overall the location is stunning but I’d recommend a car- especially with kids!!

We had a wonderful stay at this property with its picture perfect view of the lake and delightful swimming pool. Indoors, the house is a bit run down: a broken toilet seat, missing light fixtures, no TV, sticky crockery, no kitchen trash can. Multiple messages to the management company were answered with silence.

Die Wohnung ist in einem guten Zustand und der gemeinsam nutzbare Pool ist einfach der Hammer (wie im Bild zu sehen). Ein bisschen Schade ist, das für die Mieter der Wohnung in dem Viererkomplex (3 privat genutzte und eben die zu Mietende) am Pool andere Regeln gelten, als für die Privatleute. Es ist grade für Kinder schwer zu verstehen, warum "Mietkinder" nicht toben und Ball spielen dürfen und eine Bademütze tragen müssen, während die "Eigentumskinder" dies alles nicht beachten müssen. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist ausreichend, könnte aber mal wieder eine Erneuerung und Ergänzung erfahren, denn es nicht mehr alles auf dem neuesten Stand. Für Mieter, die es gewohnt sind in Ruhe zu schlafen ist die Wohnung eher nicht geeignet, denn die Hauptstrasse mit reichlich Durchgangsverkehr und den zwei Tunnels als "Schaltrichter" sind unmittelbar unter dem Anwesen und auch in der Nacht frequentiert. Trotz dieser "Makel" war es ein toller Urlaub und "Wir" würden die Wohnung auch wieder anmieten.

We were left with a lovely little amenity pack. Staff in the agency where we picked up the keys were friendly and helpful. The villa is very functional and has all the furntiture that one would expect of a comfortable holiday let. The villa is in a secluded position and has a fairly busy road running beneath it, but is walkable in about 25 mins to the nearest village, and 45 minutes to Menaggio. The pool is exceptional and the views great, the only comment that evening sun is not available so this is a great pool to enjoy in the main daytime.

We are very happy with the property we chose for our holiday taking into account there were 8 of us in our party (2 families of 4). The swimming-pool of Gaeta Bellavista is gorgeous, the views of lake breathtaking and the house is very well-located to explore both the north and south of the lake. Activities we strongly recommend if you are travelling with teenagers: renting a boat in the lake and the Fly Emotion experience in Albaredo (north). We took the ferry to visit Bellaggio and we also used the local bus line to go to Como, spending the day there and then returning to Menaggio by ferry in the evening. Another day we went to Lugano, but because it was Sunday all shops were closed. This surprised us as being August we would have expected some of them to be open for tourists to spend money on expensive watches and jewellery. During our stay the weather was sunny and the temperature around 30º most days. The fireworks the night before we left were really amazing, there are good restaurants and nice shops.

Liebes Lake Como Holiday Team, hier die von Ihnen angefragte Rückmeldung zu unserer diesjährigen Unterkunft Gaeta "Bellavista": Insgesamt hat uns die Unterkunft sehr gut gefallen- insbesondere der Pool mit seiner wunderschönen Aussicht stellte ein unvergessliches Highlight dar! Auch der Zugang zum See über den Steg, von dem aus wir Baden gehen und unsere mitgebrachten Stand Up Paddel Boards ins Wasser lassen konnte, war super. Als größtes Manko empfanden wir die Nähe der Unterkunft zur Straße- es war doch sehr laut, so dass wir nachts nur bei geschlossenen Fenstern oder mit Ohrstöpseln schlafen konnte. Auch empfanden wir es als einschränkend, dass man, um nach Menaggio laufen oder mit dem Rad fahren zu können, an der schmalen, stark befahrenen Straße entlang musste (echt gefährlich!). Die Lage der Unterkunft hinsichtlich diverser Ausflugsziele ist hingegen super! Die Wohnung als solche war für unsere Reisegruppe (2 Familien mit 5 Kindern) sehr gut geeignet. Leider war bei unserer Ankunft (gegen 17.00) weder der Schlüssel am vereinbarten Ort noch die Wohnung gereinigt. Die Mitarbeiter vor Ort haben sich schnellstmöglich und freundlich um alles gekümmert, aber nach einer langen Anreise empfanden wir es schon als "unschönen" Urlaubsbeginn, dass wir zunächst gebeten wurden, uns im Ort noch ein wenig umzuschauen, bevor wir die Wohnung dann ca. 2 Stunden später beziehen konnten. Es gibt jede Menge toller Ausflugsziele: Wanderungen, Bootsausflüge, schöne Städte... Wir hatten einen schönen Urlaub! Viele Grüße Daniela Hermanski

Liebes Lake Como Holiday Team, hier die von Ihnen angefragte Rückmeldung zu unserer diesjährigen Unterkunft Gaeta "Bellavista": Insgesamt hat uns die Unterkunft sehr gut gefallen- insbesondere der Pool mit seiner wunderschönen Aussicht stellte ein unvergessliches Highlight dar! Auch der Zugang zum See über den Steg, von dem aus wir Baden gehen und unsere mitgebrachten Stand Up Paddel Boards ins Wasser lassen konnte, war super. Als größtes Manko empfanden wir die Nähe der Unterkunft zur Straße- es war doch sehr laut, so dass wir nachts nur bei geschlossenen Fenstern oder mit Ohrstöpseln schlafen konnte. Auch empfanden wir es als einschränkend, dass man, um nach Menaggio laufen oder mit dem Rad fahren zu können, an der schmalen, stark befahrenen Straße entlang musste (echt gefährlich!). Die Lage der Unterkunft hinsichtlich diverser Ausflugsziele ist hingegen super! Die Wohnung als solche war für unsere Reisegruppe (2 Familien mit 5 Kindern) sehr gut geeignet. Leider war bei unserer Ankunft (gegen 17.00) weder der Schlüssel am vereinbarten Ort noch die Wohnung gereinigt. Die Mitarbeiter vor Ort haben sich schnellstmöglich und freundlich um alles gekümmert, aber nach einer langen Anreise empfanden wir es schon als "unschönen" Urlaubsbeginn, dass wir zunächst gebeten wurden, uns im Ort noch ein wenig umzuschauen, bevor wir die Wohnung dann ca. 2 Stunden später beziehen konnten. Es gibt jede Menge toller Ausflugsziele: Wanderungen, Bootsausflüge, schöne Städte... Wir hatten einen schönen Urlaub! Viele Grüße Daniela Hermanski

Der Pool ist toll und sehr groß. Außerdem ist die Aussicht sehr schön.
