One of the best Airbnb’s I’ve ever been to! Location as central as you can get, with a great view into the main Menaggio square of the lake and bars below Each room had at least 1 fan and was really clean and full of spare sheets/duvets/pillows. Some of the bedroom plugs don’t work for european adaptors, but there’s a couple in the kitchen that do. Star of the show remains to be the balcony view however! So much better in person. The bar downstairs stays open quite late and can be a little bit noisy in the evenings, but not noticeable with the windows shut. Incredible restaurant downstairs by the entrance that’s worth booking at some point for your weekend, typically booked up on the day so worth doing in advance! We also used nautica planet to hire a boat for a couple of hours, also only a 5 minute walk from the flat. 5/10 min walk to the ferries - for weekends, would recommend going early in the morning to buy tickets, and then getting to your ferry departure time 20 mins beforehand.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Perfect position for exploring Menaggio and for ferry transfers to other towns. I would highly recommend this property. The only downside was it could be noisy in the evenings, but this was outweighed by all the positives this apartment had to offer.

What to say about the astounding Menaggio Fantastico? From the truly stunning terrace view of the town square to the easy proximity to restaurants, groceries and the ferry dock, this place has everything you could want. It's bright and spacious, with plenty of space for our family of four. At least a dozen delicious and reasonably priced restaurants just steps from the door. The laundry facilities on site were very convenient, and enabled us to pack lighter for our trip. Beds were okay, and the wi-fi was spotty... but wow, but the ability to just sit and watch life go by in the piazza was unmatched. We arrived on Sunday afternoon, and that night a local pianist moved a piano int the square and played for two hours. An absolutely magical moment in a beautiful place!

Apartment was as advertised. Just an FYI, the stairs to get to the upstairs bedrooms are very steep. Very nice apartment. Would stay there again if we go back.

Menaggio Fantastico property was a great find. It is located right in the center of the town in a very central and lively plaza. We had very unique experience staying there starting with beautiful morning view of lake Como from the balconies, taking walks by the lake and finishing with live piano music in the square at night. Beds are very comfortable and linens and towels were good quality. Because property is located in the square it was a little noisy, but we knew that and it didn't bother us, after 23:00 it was quite and the nights were peaceful. We would absolutely stay again at this property.

I stayed here with a friend. It was very convenient, close to many restaurants, the ferry, the bus, and the water. Would highly recommend it if you need a place in the heart of Menaggio. Everyone we spoke with were very responsive and gave great recommendations. Check in and out was super easy!

We loved our stay at the Lake Como Holiday Menaggio Fantastico. We stayed a long weekend in June. Lots of windows (no screens but not necessary). We didn't need heat nor air conditioning. The two balconies on our main floor (floor 2) overlooked the square and had a view of the lake. We enjoyed that despite the noise. The upstairs bedroom also had a roof balcony view when standing. The room was relatively quiet with partially open windows. The other two rooms were noisy at night from people traveling through the alley. We didn't cook but it looks like you could. Some dish towels would be handy. Used the washer and dryer twice which was handy. The couches were comfortable. The beds were firm but fine.

Menaggio was the perfect place to stay during our trip to Lake Como. It’s a charming town in a picture-perfect setting. Our three night stay in Menaggio did not disappoint. The ferries make it convenient to visit Varena and Bellagio across the lake, and we appreciated Menaggio’s proximity to Lake Lugano and Switzerland, just 35 to 45 minutes away. This vacation rental is splendid. We loved everything about the place. It was clean, comfortable and in an absolutely beautiful spot. We loved spending early mornings and evenings after dinner on the square and lakefront. We had dinner in town every evening and loved the convenience of walking everywhere. Parking was a challenge, but we found a lot w free parking about a 10 minute walk away that worked fine for us. I have suggested to the host that they simplify the check-in procedure. Otherwise, I was tremendously pleased with our stay!

Gorgeous Airbnb in a perfect location in the centre of Menaggio. I visited with 5 friends and the flat was perfect for our stay - the balconies have beautiful views !! Theres plenty of restaurants/cafes right on the doorstep, and the ferry terminal is just a short walk away. We also loved that there were plenty of CDs and DVDs in the flat to put on - we had a couple rainy days so that was perfect.

Great location and within walking distance to the ferry and restaurants. Rooms have fans that plug in. Great service when I picked up the keys, they provided a map and helped with parking. The gift box was a nice personalized touch!

We loved the Menaggio Fantastico! The apartment looks exactly like the pictures. The view out of the two front balconies is gorgeous. The square below is festive and lively with great restaurants and gelato. We would highly recommend to anyone.

September 2018 Menaggio was our preferred place to stay. The apartment was well place to the ferries, supermarket and bakery. Although we thought the plaza may have been noisey but it was perfect. It suited our family perfectly and the management company were very helpful. Louise, UK

We had a beautiful week on the lake staying here. We had car service to and from airport and otherwise there was no need for a car. Menaggio is a perfect location to access other towns around the lake by ferry. We made several day trips including StMoritz which the office staff helped organize. They were extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. Menaggio is truly fantastico!

October 2016 First of all, I would like to thank Karin for providing such detailed info on each property for my decision. Then Harold and the HHH team who helped providing guidance on deposit and final payments as well as a dedicated webpage just for me to read all about directions, transportation, activities, etc. You are so professional. The person I couldn't forget to mention is Danilo. You've made our holiday so memorable. Boat trip was so relaxing with Davide as our driver...SO NICE. Your suggestions on restaurants and town hopping by ferry were excellent. I would also like to thank the owner of the property who was so thoughtful and attentive to our request. When I arrived at the property, it is exactly as advertised. I and my family were so happy with the view from balcony and well-equipped kitchen. We found that wifi router was broken so we immediately informed the owner and he cared so much to replace the broken router with a new mobile one. Thank you!! These are things that we enjoyed the most; 1. Having private boat taking us around the lake was fun 2. Villa del Balbianello in Lenno - This place was so beautiful. Joining the tour was a good idea to learn villa's history. 3. Varenna was such a cute town 4. Menaggio - not crowded with nice restaurant (too bad I forgot the name) and it is a good base for town hopping. I can't think of any negative things about HHH services or the property itself. WE LOVE OUR HOLIDAY IN MENAGGIO, LAKE COMO Thanks to you all once again. I will certainly recommend HHH to my friends. Peerana, Thailand

The apartment has a really great location. Its right in the centre of the piazza so great access to all the nice restaurants and shops, however just be mindful it can be a little noisy which is understandable. The apartment layout is good. I do think it needs a deep clean and was quite warm but there were lots of fans so that did help. The hosts are very friendly and proactive with the communication. There are quite some flights of stairs to climb to reach the apartment, which is on the top floor. There is a small lift but wouldn't have been accessible for more than 2 people. We would stay there again for sure if visiting Menaggio.

What a beautiful location, right in the heart of Menaggio looking out at the lake. Place was clean. Only a few minor issues, the Wi-Fi didn’t work when we got there, but then it was fixed and worked for a day, but then went out again. Also, a few of the fans were broken, but they were replaced quickly. Dryer didn’t work very well, then we looked online for the dryer model and discovered that the moisture bin had to be emptied of water.

We enjoyed our stay here. The location was very central right on the main square of Menaggio. Local to restaurants, shops and a short walk from the ferry. Being in such a central location meant that at times it was very noisy in the apartment at night with voices and loud music coming from nearby establishments. The apartment itself was large and perfect size for the 5 of us. There were a few little maintenance issues that need to be addressed such as blinds being held up with sticky tape, shower doors that don’t close properly and curtains with cigarette burns in them. None of these impacted our stay and are most likely a reflection of a busy summer with back to back reservations. Lake Como Holidays were easily contactable and were helpful with any issues or questions we had.

Super Lage. Restaurants, Minigolf, Supermarkt, See in direkter Umgebung. Alles zu Fuß erreichbar. Abends war es leider etwas laut. Öffentliche Parkplätze sind tagsüber sehr voll und es ist schwer einen Platz zu finden. Aber das Gesamtpaket war super.

This location is prime! Right in the plaza with everything you need. We traveled with an 8 month old, so a few things If you’re bringing a baby… 1- on the top floor and the elevator is very small. 2 There are no rugs or place to put the baby, so bring your own baby seat. 3. No bath tub. 4. Parking isn’t included and is a bit tough to find. The place is pretty secure and cute. I would come back here and recommend to my friends and family.

We had requested things from the office which took two days to get and multiple requests which was a little frustrating. enjoyed ourselves!

The name said it all! This holiday home was fantastic! The apartment was superbly decorated throughout, with all the mod cons and luxury touches. Its central location in the main piazza was so convenient for reaching the shops, cafes, restaurants, lakefront and ferry port. Our balcony views were great for people spotting too! We enjoyed some great icecream in the main piazza and our teenage children loved going to the Lido in Menaggio as it offered swimming pools, volley ball, sunbathing and also a great onsite pizzeria. Menaggio was a really safe and inviting town to be in and we felt at home there. The ferry port was great for reaching the other golden triangle towns and we found it so easy to get to the main lake attractions! The HHH team in Menaggio were just brilliant because they helped us alot during our stay with queries about our holiday home, restaurants and nearby activities. We had a truly wonderful time here so thank you!

Thank you for such a wonderful vacation! Our holiday apartment was so beautiful and contemporary inside. It was really perfect for our group. The central location was great for getting around and Menaggio was so pretty. We really loved the local gift shops and delicatessens. We sat out most mornings in the piazza with a coffee and also had some great alfresco meals there at Ristorante di Paolo. Menaggio had such a beautiful lakefront which led to a really modern Lido. We managed to enjoy a private yacht charter from Nobiallo Marina and we also enjoyed a power boat hire for the day from HHH! Villa Carlotta and Villa Balbianello were just heavenly. I would go back there again in a heart beat. Patrick and David had a great time up at the Golf club and we had a wonderful time walking, playing tennis, swimming and being out on the lake. Thanks so much for a truly memorable stay!

Our trip to Menaggio was just wonderful!!! We so enjoyed your recommendation - our location was just wonderful and it could not have been better. I cannot thank you enough. We had a little start about the parking when we arrived and the TV did not work as well. However, you rectified both quite nicely and the balance of our stay was just perfect. The room overlooking the square was just what we wanted. My brother and his wife were equally thrilled. We had ice cream in the square and restaurants close by were perfect for our needs. Our relatives live in Bena Lario so the location worked from that standpoint. Hopefully, we will be back soon and we would like just to know if you have wonderful property in Como? Thanks Harold - you are so lucky to live in Menaggio!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our April with you at Lake Como was a dream vacation. We love to imagine that we could be your guest again someday soon. Menaggio Fantastico was a perfect place to be. Initially, Harold, you said if we chose that apartment we would feel "the luckiest people on the Lake." Indeed, that was 100% true. What a happy time! Here are some suggestions which apply to Menaggio Fantastico specifically, and then ones for any visitor to Lake Como. For Menaggio Fantastico: 1.) Directions for operating the dish washer, the washing machine and dryer, and the television should be written down in English, probably by the owners, and left where they can be found. 2.) Americans are spoiled, I know, but we always wanted more ice. The apartment needed probably 4 new ice trays. 3.) We had 2 sets of keys for 6 people. More sets of keys would be nice. Also, HHH should have a set for themselves in the office. 4.) Speaking of keys, we still do not understand what we did to lock ourselves INTO the apartment so that we couldn't get out again, thus having to disturb you for professional help. A note of instruction on this matter would help too. Now for favorite things to do: 1.) Every day I wanted to ride the boats. Truly, it wouldn't matter where, just ride. I think it was because of seeing so much and feeling as if I'd stepped back in time to an era when riding the boats was how one got around. Usually the outing would include lunch in another town and visiting some shops, which I'll come back to in a minute. Go for walks or hikes: a.) Our very favorite hike was up to the Shrine above town and La Crocetta, taking along a light picnic lunch. We did this twice. b.) Next favorite: Villa Sebelloni, in Bellagio. This walk is in the Rockefeller Estate (entry fee) which is a long, mostly uphill walk with a guide leading the way. Her office is in the square tower which is to the back right corner of the plaza, as one faces the Church in Bellagio. The views in every direction are magnificent. c.) Another really nice walk was around Lago Piano, a very rural walk which goes through a bird sanctuary. This was another "step back in time", which was quite other worldly. This walk is # 7, described in the brochure "A Piedi nei Dintorni di Menaggio", which the English speaking lady at the tourist center downstairs provided. She was very helpful to us. d.) Twice we hiked around the upper town. Twice we walked about 3 miles along the road (very scary in places) to the north of Menaggio, riding the bus back. Favorite restaurants: Our usual plan for the day included lunch at a restaurant. We didn't often eat out at night. 1.) La Punta in Bellagio. Walk up hill past the Villa Serbelloni Hotel, perhaps a mile from the boat dock, to the very tip of the peninsula. 2.) We went to the Tuesday market in Lenno three times. In Lenno, go to the end of the market. Turn right, going past the ancient Baptistery, to the a parallel street where the Market continues. Turn right. About where the Market ends, on the right side of the street is a rather plain looking restaurant with a 10 Euro fixed menu near the door. Inside, turn left to go downstairs. It was so much fun to dine in what looked like an ancient wine cellar that we kept coming back...but I don't know the name of the restaurant. 3.) The yummiest food for the price was at the restaurant at Villa Carlotta. 4.) We went to Red Bay many times including my 70th birthday lunch. 5.) Chic and Freak's was another place we especially liked. Our first meal in Menaggio was on their terrace, and we came back often. Favorite shop: In Varenna, along the water, Giorgio's shop, which sells jewelry and minerals was one we came back to over and over again. Can't remember the name of the place, but the walk-way goes through a covered area which is part of his shop. He has a few unusual items outside in this area to alert you that you've found an interesting place. Places not to be missed: 1.) Villa Carlotta 2.) Rockefeller Estate Good advice for Americans arriving at Malpensa: Take the train as you, Harold, directed. But it is the second stop where you change trains. Having made the change, go to the third stop which has the name Como (Lago) in it. Instead of taking the bus to Menaggio, take the rapido boat. The initial trip to Menaggio will be far less harrowing than riding the bus. And finally, for Andrea: The van which you arranged for the 6 of us to take to Malpensa was a perfect solution since we needed to arrive at the airport so early. Our driver came exactly on time, and although it was raining very hard, we got to the airport in plenty of time. Bravo! For Bryan and George: Thank you for your services. I did 4 paintings, only so-so, from the upstairs terrace after you brought me a stool to stand on. Thank you also for stocking the apartment with extra books. We read several. Pictures to share: I am doing several big pictures from my photos right now. One, from La Crocetta, looks promising. When it's finished, if it looks as pretty as I hope it will, I'll email you a shot of it. I hope I am capturing a perfect day in a perfect place, when we were all perfectly happy and content with the world. Thank you for making our April such a delight.

They were very communicative and helpful with check in and check out. However, this air bnb was disappointedly dirty. The walls need to be painted as they were very dirty with black marks and smudges in many areas. The floors felt very dirty as well. There is mold in the shower. The mattresses were very thin and not very comfortable. The unit does not have air conditioning which we knew in advance, but unfortunately we hit the hottest week of the year. Fans were provided, but one was broken. We were promised a replacement fan but it was never delivered. The WiFi never worked, which was disappointing and consequently, I dread our next phone bill. As far as location, it is centrally located in the town center. Every night there were performances we could watch from the balcony. At times, this was fantastic and we enjoyed the beautiful music. However, there were nights which were very loud when we were seeking quiet. You have to take the good with the bad on that one.
