It was a really good experience. The room, the beds, the view, the accessibility to restaurant/bar (right beside it). It did not have air conditioning but we did have two fans which were sufficient. Lake Como staff was very helpful.

The view was the best. Close to dock and nice restaurant. Easy location to explore other parts of the lake. View was the best. At night when you shut windows it greatly reduced the noise. We liked being here as we had no car. We loved the elevator. Great communications.

September 2017 We thoroughly enjoyed our four nights at Bella Varenna! All of the instructions from getting there, accessing the key, to how to operate things in the apartment were spot on. But, wow, that view from the balcony... you just have to see it to believe it. And the location, absolutely perfect! The apartment was very roomy. The furniture was somewhat sparse, but enough for the two of us. It is a very clean apartment. We had an amazing, relaxing, and fun vacation. There are so many restaurant choices in the small town. Our favorite restaurant was Quatro Pass. It is off the beaten path. There is not much shopping for souvenirs so you have to go to Bellagio for that. We took the ferry over to Bellagio one day, Mennagio the next, and on the last day took a small group 1 hour wooden boat ride then leisurely explored Varenna some more. We would love to go back to Bella Varenna some day. Happy Holiday Homes was great. We had a problem with the clothes washer on the first day. We had a lot of laundry to do since we had been in Italy for almost a week. I was down to the last bit of clean clothes. I was upset that the washer was broken. HHH had a new washer installed while we were site seeing in Bellagio the next day. That is great customer service! Kimberly, UK

July 2016 We really enjoyed our stay at Bella Varenna. The property was as described and shown in the photos - gorgeous view over the lake! The location was excellent - accessible to the ferries and a very pleasant stroll to the older part of town. We ate at 3 restaurants in Varenna and the food was very good at each one. They were all located in the older part of the town along the shore - I'm sorry I cannot remember the names. We loved the gelateria's that offered cushions to sit on the nearby steps! We would absolutely recommend the property, the small comments I have are very minor issues. Thank you so much & enjoy the rest of the summer! Susan, Canada

Bella Varenna exceeded our expectations. Your directions were precise and easy to follow. The apartment was larger than expected and very convenient. Of course the view is spectacular. We were only able to be there a short time, but we enjoyed the ferry ride to Bellagio and every meal we had. We especially appreciated the washing machine:)

Thank you so much for the excellent directions to Bella Varenna. We found it very easily and the code box for the key worked very well. Although it was very late and raining when we arrived, today has been fabulous weather. The villa is everything we hoped it would be. The view is amazing, the rooms are large, light and airy and there is nothing that we need that isn't here. It is a beautiful apartment and we are so spoilt to be in Bella Varenna for a week. In fact I don't think a week will be long enough! Once again, thank you.

We appreciated all the helpful tips and the directions from the train station. Finding and entering the apartment was extremely easy. The location and views are spectacular! We enjoyed the ease of walking out of the apartment and jumping on the ferry. Based on the photos and descriptions on-line, Bella Varenna was exactly what I expected. I wanted to thank you for the excellent service during our 10-day stay at the apartment, "Bella Varenna." Everything was lovely, and the apartment is well supplied, for the most part. I had called you office a couple of times about the fact that the wifi device had quit working, and I understand that Saturday is a busy day for you. Luckily, the device finally discharged its battery and I was able to re-charge it and turn it back on, Saturday evening. As I had been advised, the memory cleared, so to speak, and the device began working again. I recommend you explain to other Americans (who are not used to wifi "cubes") that this can happen when you keep it plugged in all the time. If you don't keep it plugged in, however, you have to reset each time you turn on your device. So it's not an ideal wifi solution: perhaps you will consider putting in an actual wifi modem/router for the apartment, which most places include with no extra fee anyway. Again, we greatly enjoyed our stay in Varenna, which is completely lovely and charming. We also appreciate the assistance of your staff, both before our arrival, via emails, and during our stay. We thank Danilo for helping with a reservation for lunch one day and also for giving several good suggestions for visiting some places on our own. We are independent travelers, and we do not typically enjoy tours, so having your staff available was pleasant, while not being part of a "package," group, or tour of any kind. We have just arrived back in Australia after our holiday in Italy and would like to thank you for the wonderful accommodation we had at Bella Varenna. The position on Lake Como was beautiful, and the apartment was all we could wish for. We only have a couple of suggestions that would help to make it perfect. On our departure we had to place the keys in the master key box. This proved to be very frustrating as the keys would not fit in the box unless we separated the two keys. Apart from this, we had an amazing time at Bella Varenna - perfect. Thank you.

The Bella Varenna apartment was spacious, well equipped and in a great location with a million dollar view. The complimentary bottle of wine was appreciated and we drank it sitting on the balcony watching the sun set! Happy Holiday Homes were very easy to deal with when booking and paying for the apartment. I had been trying for days to find somewhere to buy an internet usb when we were staying in the Cinque Terra. I rang George and he said they had some in their Menaggio office. Brilliant! The receptionist in the office was very helpful and pleasant. I highly recommend using Happy Holiday Homes. Tips for future travellers:- Varenna\'s travel agent can organise train tickets for you to go to St Moritz for the day. The restaurant at the Hotel Suisse in Bellagio has wonderful food and wine and excellent service. Varenna Cafe has great food, friendly service and is cheap. Relax - it is a beautiful area to stop and enjoy the view. The photo is of moon set from the balcony of Bella Varenna looking toward Menaggio. Before we even left home, we were appreciative of your agency. Lydia in particular could not have been more helpful, patiently answering a multitude of questions and alleviating our concerns. Her suggestion to stay at Bella Varenna was excellent and staying there was the highlight of our trip. Although we had a minute of concern when upon arrival pwe could not get into our apartment, an evening call to your agency was promptly answered and then a return call was received with the information of the location of the second key. Bella Varenna was very clean and lovely. The views of the lake and mountains from the balcony and windows are incredibly beautiful! Your VRBO pictures of the apartment and views do not do it justice! There was a living room and TV we did not even know existed before we arrived. The view of the little park and promenade below could also be shown, as this was so lovely. Danilo was very helpful and pleasant to work with in securing our WiFi stick. The information folder at the apartment was really helpful, perhaps you could also include info. about local restaurants and grocery stores or the grocery store in Menaggio, which Danilo told us about. We enjoyed staying in the town of Verenna, especially loved the promenade and the beautiful old church. We bought a six day ferry pass, which made taking the ferry really quick and easy. Villa Charlotta was our favorite garden and Bellagio the best town for shopping. Bar Nilus was our favorite place to have dinner in Varenna and Bar La Cumbusca next to the apartment a great place for morning cappucchino or breakfast. We took the Bernina Express into the Alps, which was a fantastic train trip! After a week in Prague and then another week in Venice, spending our last week of vacation on Lake Como was perfect......relaxing, a slower pace, and so very beautiful! Thank you for all your help making our stay so special! We will definitely recommend your agency and properties to others. Again, a very special thank you to Lydia, who is a real asset to your agency.

Location is simply perfect - 5 min from train station, right by the ferry and 3 min to center of the village. View was also great!

This is a clean, tidy and spacious apartment. We had some issues with the internet, they were very quickly retified, and it worked well. There was no TV and we were charged more than one nights accommodation for tax. No one could explain the fee.
