Un petit coin de paradis sur terre ! Une villa vraiment magnifique, construite autour d'une tour de guet médiévale et de grottes étrusques. Cette propriété unique, située dans les collines à la frontière du Latium et de l'Ombrie, peut accueillir 8 personnes. Pour ceux qui recherchent des vacances italiennes de rêve, c'est l'endroit idéal ! La maison est entourée d'oliviers et de noisetiers, d'un jardin bien entretenu et de vastes terrasses où l'on peut s'asseoir à l'extérieur. Elle dispose d'une piscine privée et se trouve dans un endroit calme. La porte d'entrée se trouve au premier étage, en haut d'une belle volée de marches en pierre, et vous mène à l'entrée principale puis au salon. Le salon est à la fois splendide et accueillant. Il est doté d'une magnifique cheminée, d'un lustre et d'une bibliothèque bien garnie. Il y a un canapé et deux fauteuils et des portes-fenêtres donnant sur le jardin. Construite dans d'anciennes grottes, la salle à manger est vraiment magnifique, avec une grande table pour 8 personnes. Des marches en pierre mènent de la salle à manger à un autre couloir extraordinaire qui, comme la salle à manger, est moitié grotte, moitié brique. La cuisine est plus moderne que les autres pièces et a été rénovée avec goût, avec des carreaux de pierre et des armoires en bois. Elle est équipée d'une grande cuisinière, d'un four, d'un lave-vaisselle et d'un réfrigérateur américain. Une grande table de cuisine en bois brut et 8 chaises sont disponibles pour des repas plus décontractés. La piscine bordée de mosaïques se trouve légèrement en contrebas de la maison, sur une terrasse à flanc de colline. Elle est équipée de chaises longues et d'une zone ombragée surélevée, où les clients peuvent se détendre et profiter de la vue imprenable. Les enfants disposent d'un baby-foot, d'un trampoline, d'une table de ping-pong et d'une ludothèque. Les quatre chambres sont spacieuses et lumineuses, décorées de cotons frais, d'œuvres d'art attrayantes et d'un magnifique mobilier ancien. Couchage Chambre 1 : La chambre principale, située dans la tour, avec de hauts plafonds, dispose d'un lit double et d'une grande armoire à miroir. Chambre 2 : Cette charmante chambre a un plafond à poutres apparentes et des sols carrelés en terre cuite. Elle dispose d'un lit double et d'une armoire. Chambre 3 : Une chambre paisible avec 2 lits simples et une grande armoire. Chambre 4 : Cette chambre simple dispose d'un lit double et d'une armoire. Salles de bains La maison dispose de 4 salles de bains, toutes équipées de baignoires ou de douches, de lavabos et de WC. Orvieto est la ville la plus proche et l'une des plus belles de la région. Perchée sur une colline, avec sa célèbre cathédrale et ses délicieux vins blancs, la ville a beaucoup à offrir. De plus, il y a le marché alimentaire local sur la Piazza del Popolo, tous les jeudis et samedis (fermeture à 13 heures), où vous pouvez acheter les produits locaux les plus frais pour les cuisiner à la maison. La ville de Viterbe (45 minutes de route) est un joyau médiéval construit sur des fondations étrusques beaucoup plus anciennes. Elle abrite de superbes palais, dont l'incontournable Palazzo dei Papi, siège papal pendant vingt ans dans les années 1300. La région compte de nombreuses sources thermales, dont les plus grandioses sont les Terme dei Papi, dignes d'un pape. Le lac de Bolsena (30 minutes de route) est le plus grand lac volcanique d'Europe et offre un large éventail d'activités à essayer, notamment l'équitation, le VTT, la randonnée, la planche à voile et le ski nautique. Le lac est entouré de nombreux sites magnifiques et constitue une excursion d'une journée enrichissante. Les aéroports les plus proches sont ceux de Pérouse (1 heure et 5 minutes de route) et de Rome Ciampino (1 heure et 30 minutes). Il y a aussi l'aéroport de Rome Fiumicino (1 heure 45 minutes). Présence d'œuvres d'art d'un artiste danois bien connu, Louis Rosen Schmidt. La maison est meublée avec ses œuvres et montre son histoire comme une sorte de musée. Parmi ces œuvres, on trouve des paysages de gens et des nus érotiques ludiques, rien de vulgaire mais tout ce qui est artistique est placé dans le passage et non dans les chambres ou les salles. Nous nous excusons si elles ne sont pas appréciées par tous les hôtes, mais elles donnent de l'éclat à la maison et lui confèrent une valeur ajoutée.

Une expérience inoubliable ! La maison Torre del Melograno est un cadre enchanteur qui transporte dans un autre temps. Calme, sérénité, contemplation et plongeon dans l'Histoire, voilà ce qui qualifie cette demeure atypique. Nous avons été marqués très agréablement par son atmosphère - son jardin magnifique, sa vue à couper le souffle sur les collines traversant la Toscane, l'Ombrie et le Latium, sa tour médiévale et ses caves étrusques, ses tableaux colorés et expressifs. Elle laissera à nos filles et à nous-mêmes, un excellent souvenir d'Italie. La maison est en outre extrêmement bien placée pour visiter les sublimes villes d'Orvieto, Pérouse, Pitigliano, Pienza, Sienne, Florence, Rome ou encore le très relaxant lac Bolsena. Cerise sur le gâteau, Claudia et Manuela, les deux gouvernantes de la demeure, sont aux petits soins et de très bons conseils pour faire des extras (fêtes de villages, événements estivaux...). Nous recommandons la villa Torre del Melograno à tous ceux qui veulent déconnecter et vivre une expérience hors du temps :)

This house was amazing and the host was equally amazing! She greeted us and showed us around and each room was better than the next. She even had a full meal (pasta, sauce, bread and wine!) all set out for us! The house was like stepping into another world. There was a heat wave while we were there and although it was hot, the house stayed fairly cool. There were 5 of us, myself, my husband, two teenage boys, and my mother. We all agreed that this house was our favorite of our almost month long trip. The pool was very nice and clean and the setting is unbelievable. I cannot recommend this house or the hosts enough!

A lovely villa with beautiful views. Lots of space for everyone and a great pool to relax by. The outdoor seating was a lovely and we spent the evenings sat outside and watching the sun go down. Would definitely recommend!

The house has an outstanding view over the vallee and is beautifully located, it is very authentic and fits perfectly for groups of friends or family, it even has a sort of troglodyte room which is very unique, and a wood oven outside of the house we actually used to cook pizzas ! My friends and I had a wonderful time

Definitely recommend this hidden gem - the pictures don’t do it justice. Phenomenally beautiful location and grounds. There are definitely some quirks but these are overwhelmingly outweighed by the beauty of the sun pouring into the kitchen each morning over the main valley below, among many other positives.

Overall, we had a great week here. The property is amazingly quirky, with breathtaking views and the location is outstanding - so many lovely places to visit in the immediate area. However, the listing photos oversell the actual property a bit. In reality: the interior is very dark, but that is what keeps it cool, as the air conditioning is limited; furniture and fittings have all seen better days; some of the interior seating (and outside seating covers) are ripped and stained, as is much of the bedding provided; pool and pool area are smaller than expected from the photos, we found it cramped for 6 adults and a baby up there, especially as there is very little shade. There is a fitting for a sun umbrella, but the only one we could find was broken. If some of these issues are resolved, this place would be perfect. For a property like this, there really should be a housebook. Fortunately, the housekeeper was very helpful and responded quickly to queries about recycling, etc.

Absolutely stunning property, incredible views, lovely pool and sun lounger area and beautiful outside table for meals. The inside is spacious and lots of bathrooms and bedrooms. Would recommend renting a car when you stay there as there isn’t much in the local area. Great value for money!

We LOVED our stay here. Tina the housekeeper was amazing, we also met the host of the property who gave us a tour as-well as wine and olive oils that he produced himself. Such a beautiful location with the most amazing views. The house itself was massive, with only 5 of us it definitely felt like we were all super far away from each other at times. Kitchen and dining area was lovely. The pool and terrace area was by far the best part of the house, all day sun and a small pool to cool down in. Shops and the local town of Orvieto are very close, as long as you have a car you can hop between places.

Interesting house with artistic works. Inside of the house is a bit of a labyrinth with many doors. Difficult to find which key opens which door. Enough space for eight persons. Dining place outside is super. Great view and peacuful surroundings. Next towns/grocery stores (Castglione di Teverina or Lubriano) 4-5 km away.

Der Außenbereich und die Aussicht war wunderschön! Der Pool hat eine ausreichende Größe und die Liegen sind sehr gemütlich. Auf der Terrasse kann man gemütlich Essen und den atemberaubenden Ausblick genießen. Leider waren nicht alle Betten gemütlich und die Bettwäsche sowie die Handtücher waren zum Teil etwas dreckig. Ebenso die Küchenutensilien mussten wir nochmals gründlich putzen da diese ebenfalls nicht sauber waren. Ingesamt stimmen die Bilder mit den tatsächlich Zustand der Unterkunft gut überein. An der ein oder andere Stelle sollte jedoch etwas besser geputzt werden, und die Matratzen sollten evtl. mal ausgetauscht werden (das ist jedoch Ansichtssache). Die Kommunikation mit der Haushälterin sowie mit happy rentals funktionierte gut. Alles in einem hatten wir einen tollen Aufenthalt!

Tina, the groundskeeper was amazing. The place is beautiful and the amenities are great. It is definitely a unique place to stay and we quite enjoyed it. However, since it is built in a hill and very old, the entire place is quite damp. It does not matter which room you sleep in, there will still be an element of damp. Otherwise, it was fantastic. Also, a million brownie points, after a gentle request to open the pool earlier than June 1st, the villa was very accommodating and surprised us with opening the pool for our arrival.

La posizione ed il paesaggio sono strepitosi. Ci sono state alcune imprecisioni, riguardo al riscaldamento, in quanto c’è un camino ventilato per scaldare tutta la casa( che è enorme), ed essendo freddo volevamo accendere il riscaldamento a gas, ma il costo era di € 50 al giorno , anziché € 10 come era scritto nell’ annuncio. Abbiamo subito fatto presente all’ host di questa incongruenza, il quale ha subito provveduto a correggere l’annuncio. La casa è antica e molto spaziosa e l’abbiamo trovata pulita. Soggiorno molto piacevole, vale la pena andarci , soprattutto d’estate

The house was insanely beautiful and exceeded our expectations with the view. However, the host was rude during our check out and barged into the house an hour early before check out and immediately started yelling at us about the trash we complied into trash can in a corner. Given that she came so early, none of us were able to properly get ready and eat breakfast in peace because we were expected to help her clean (even though we paid a cleaning fee). She continued to scream and curse at us in Italian and overall left a bitter taste in our mouth. Additionally, she gave us a tour for check - in and showed us around, including the laundry room, but never told us it was off limits or closed. Consequently, we needed towels after swimming in the lake and used some towels which we were yelled at for using. Overall, the location and the property itself is amazing and other than the host, everything went smoothly and I had a great time with my friends.

Regarding the technical room, we noticed you accessed it even though it was marked as off-limits. Please be mindful of these signs for everyone's safety. Our check-out time is 10:00 am. After that, our housekeeper starts cleaning, especially if we have new guests coming. You're absolutely not expected to clean during your stay, just to be respectful and follow the house rules. Also, please don't move any furniture or objects without asking us first. If something gets moved, we trust our guests to put it back where it belongs. We believe in mutual respect between our staff and guests. We all rely on each other to make everyone's holiday enjoyable. Our housekeeper wanted to clarify that she wasn't upset but wanted to mention the extra laundry and the items moved outside of the agreed times. Despite this, we're glad to hear you had a good time, and we value your feedback. We hope to host you again sometime soon.

Soggiorno in gruppo, presenti anche bambini. La struttura molto bella, un po' impegnativa sia come dimensione che come allestimento/arredamento. Area esterna pregevole, peccato per il forte vento (pare fosse eccezionale), ottimi servizi. Host gentile e premurosa, precisa e reattiva.

This was exactly what I wanted!!!! Tina our host made this trip!!! She was so gracious and helpful!! We will return with friends but not in the summer!!! The entire house does no have air conditioning. So all of the bedrooms except 1 were too hot to sleep comfortably. But the views and grandness of the home are worth any negatives. The pool was wonderful for our small group of 5. Renting a car in Orvieto is a piece of cake but check their hours, especially if you’re arriving on Saturday.

Das Haus ist sehr groß und kühl. Jedoch riecht es sehr modrig und feucht. Grundsätzlich ist das Haus etwas renovierungsbedürftig. Unser Zimmer war direkt neben der Pumpe vom Pool (wesentlich kleiner als auf den Fotos ersichtlich) und daher sehr laut. Es gibt sehr viele Insekten, Fledermäuse und Füchse, welchen den Urlaub mehr als abenteuerlich gemacht haben. Für einen Freunde-Urlaub bei dem das Gemeinsam sein im Vordergrund steht vollkommen ausstreichend. Ansonsten nicht so sehr zu empfehlen. Aussicht und Außenbereich waren Mega und haben den Urlaub gerettet! Die Putzfrau war sehr nett, freundlich und hilfsbereit!

My family stayed for three nights as a side trip from Rome. The check-in was easy. The property manager was responsive and Tina met us at the property and showed us around when we arrived. The house is a beautiful from the exterior with a rustic stone facade and the views of the countryside are amazing, especially in the early morning. It is a 15 minute drive to Orvieto and accessible for travel by car or train on other excursions (we went by car to Assisi and by train to Florence with ease). Families traveling with children should be advised that the interior of the house is a bit of a maze, with distance between the main living area and the bedrooms. And there is adult-themed (erotic) art located in nearly every room of the house. We did not see this in the listing or the photos online. While art is a matter of taste, parents should take note of this feature in order to make an informed decision. The house is very much rustic, which we expected to a degree. For example, a wood fireplace in the kitchen is the heating source for the entire house. The house could use a thorough cleaning, especially floors and bathrooms. I will say that Tina was amazing and started a fire for us while we were away one day in order to heat the house. Without her, we would have had colder nights!

This house was amazing and the host was equally amazing! She greeted us and showed us around and each room was better than the next. She even had a full meal (pasta, sauce, bread and wine!) all set out for us! The house was like stepping into another world. There was a heat wave while we were there and although it was hot, the house stayed fairly cool. There were 5 of us, myself, my husband, two teenage boys, and my mother. We all agreed that this house was our favorite of our almost month long trip. The pool was very nice and clean and the setting is unbelievable. I cannot recommend this house or the hosts enough!

A lovely villa with beautiful views. Lots of space for everyone and a great pool to relax by. The outdoor seating was a lovely and we spent the evenings sat outside and watching the sun go down. Would definitely recommend!

The house has an outstanding view over the vallee and is beautifully located, it is very authentic and fits perfectly for groups of friends or family, it even has a sort of troglodyte room which is very unique, and a wood oven outside of the house we actually used to cook pizzas ! My friends and I had a wonderful time

Definitely recommend this hidden gem - the pictures don’t do it justice. Phenomenally beautiful location and grounds. There are definitely some quirks but these are overwhelmingly outweighed by the beauty of the sun pouring into the kitchen each morning over the main valley below, among many other positives.

Overall, we had a great week here. The property is amazingly quirky, with breathtaking views and the location is outstanding - so many lovely places to visit in the immediate area. However, the listing photos oversell the actual property a bit. In reality: the interior is very dark, but that is what keeps it cool, as the air conditioning is limited; furniture and fittings have all seen better days; some of the interior seating (and outside seating covers) are ripped and stained, as is much of the bedding provided; pool and pool area are smaller than expected from the photos, we found it cramped for 6 adults and a baby up there, especially as there is very little shade. There is a fitting for a sun umbrella, but the only one we could find was broken. If some of these issues are resolved, this place would be perfect. For a property like this, there really should be a housebook. Fortunately, the housekeeper was very helpful and responded quickly to queries about recycling, etc.

Absolutely stunning property, incredible views, lovely pool and sun lounger area and beautiful outside table for meals. The inside is spacious and lots of bathrooms and bedrooms. Would recommend renting a car when you stay there as there isn’t much in the local area. Great value for money!

We LOVED our stay here. Tina the housekeeper was amazing, we also met the host of the property who gave us a tour as-well as wine and olive oils that he produced himself. Such a beautiful location with the most amazing views. The house itself was massive, with only 5 of us it definitely felt like we were all super far away from each other at times. Kitchen and dining area was lovely. The pool and terrace area was by far the best part of the house, all day sun and a small pool to cool down in. Shops and the local town of Orvieto are very close, as long as you have a car you can hop between places.

Interesting house with artistic works. Inside of the house is a bit of a labyrinth with many doors. Difficult to find which key opens which door. Enough space for eight persons. Dining place outside is super. Great view and peacuful surroundings. Next towns/grocery stores (Castglione di Teverina or Lubriano) 4-5 km away.

Der Außenbereich und die Aussicht war wunderschön! Der Pool hat eine ausreichende Größe und die Liegen sind sehr gemütlich. Auf der Terrasse kann man gemütlich Essen und den atemberaubenden Ausblick genießen. Leider waren nicht alle Betten gemütlich und die Bettwäsche sowie die Handtücher waren zum Teil etwas dreckig. Ebenso die Küchenutensilien mussten wir nochmals gründlich putzen da diese ebenfalls nicht sauber waren. Ingesamt stimmen die Bilder mit den tatsächlich Zustand der Unterkunft gut überein. An der ein oder andere Stelle sollte jedoch etwas besser geputzt werden, und die Matratzen sollten evtl. mal ausgetauscht werden (das ist jedoch Ansichtssache). Die Kommunikation mit der Haushälterin sowie mit happy rentals funktionierte gut. Alles in einem hatten wir einen tollen Aufenthalt!

We enjoyed the stay! Good communication with the host, very large villa with a beautiful view and a pool to cool down. Don't expect a perfectly polished house, this is a typical italian country house as you can see in the pictures

Tina, the groundskeeper was amazing. The place is beautiful and the amenities are great. It is definitely a unique place to stay and we quite enjoyed it. However, since it is built in a hill and very old, the entire place is quite damp. It does not matter which room you sleep in, there will still be an element of damp. Otherwise, it was fantastic. Also, a million brownie points, after a gentle request to open the pool earlier than June 1st, the villa was very accommodating and surprised us with opening the pool for our arrival.

La posizione ed il paesaggio sono strepitosi. Ci sono state alcune imprecisioni, riguardo al riscaldamento, in quanto c’è un camino ventilato per scaldare tutta la casa( che è enorme), ed essendo freddo volevamo accendere il riscaldamento a gas, ma il costo era di € 50 al giorno , anziché € 10 come era scritto nell’ annuncio. Abbiamo subito fatto presente all’ host di questa incongruenza, il quale ha subito provveduto a correggere l’annuncio. La casa è antica e molto spaziosa e l’abbiamo trovata pulita. Soggiorno molto piacevole, vale la pena andarci , soprattutto d’estate

The house was insanely beautiful and exceeded our expectations with the view. However, the host was rude during our check out and barged into the house an hour early before check out and immediately started yelling at us about the trash we complied into trash can in a corner. Given that she came so early, none of us were able to properly get ready and eat breakfast in peace because we were expected to help her clean (even though we paid a cleaning fee). She continued to scream and curse at us in Italian and overall left a bitter taste in our mouth. Additionally, she gave us a tour for check - in and showed us around, including the laundry room, but never told us it was off limits or closed. Consequently, we needed towels after swimming in the lake and used some towels which we were yelled at for using. Overall, the location and the property itself is amazing and other than the host, everything went smoothly and I had a great time with my friends.

We'd like to clear up a few things based on your feedback. You mentioned some issues with extra towels and linen. Usually, we provide what's standard for the room, but if you need more, just let us know. There might be a small charge, but we're happy to help. Regarding the technical room, we noticed you accessed it even though it was marked as off-limits. Please be mindful of these signs for everyone's safety. Our check-out time is 10:00 am. After that, our housekeeper starts cleaning, especially if we have new guests coming. You're absolutely not expected to clean during your stay, just to be respectful and follow the house rules. Also, please don't move any furniture or objects without asking us first. If something gets moved, we trust our guests to put it back where it belongs. We believe in mutual respect between our staff and guests. We all rely on each other to make everyone's holiday enjoyable. Our housekeeper wanted to clarify that she wasn't upset but wanted to mention the extra laundry and the items moved outside of the agreed times. Despite this, we're glad to hear you had a good time, and we value your feedback. We hope to host you again sometime soon.

Soggiorno in gruppo, presenti anche bambini. La struttura molto bella, un po' impegnativa sia come dimensione che come allestimento/arredamento. Area esterna pregevole, peccato per il forte vento (pare fosse eccezionale), ottimi servizi. Host gentile e premurosa, precisa e reattiva.

This was exactly what I wanted!!!! Tina our host made this trip!!! She was so gracious and helpful!! We will return with friends but not in the summer!!! The entire house does no have air conditioning. So all of the bedrooms except 1 were too hot to sleep comfortably. But the views and grandness of the home are worth any negatives. The pool was wonderful for our small group of 5. Renting a car in Orvieto is a piece of cake but check their hours, especially if you’re arriving on Saturday.

Das Haus ist sehr groß und kühl. Jedoch riecht es sehr modrig und feucht. Grundsätzlich ist das Haus etwas renovierungsbedürftig. Unser Zimmer war direkt neben der Pumpe vom Pool (wesentlich kleiner als auf den Fotos ersichtlich) und daher sehr laut. Es gibt sehr viele Insekten, Fledermäuse und Füchse, welchen den Urlaub mehr als abenteuerlich gemacht haben. Für einen Freunde-Urlaub bei dem das Gemeinsam sein im Vordergrund steht vollkommen ausstreichend. Ansonsten nicht so sehr zu empfehlen. Aussicht und Außenbereich waren Mega und haben den Urlaub gerettet! Die Putzfrau war sehr nett, freundlich und hilfsbereit!

My family stayed for three nights as a side trip from Rome. The check-in was easy. The property manager was responsive and Tina met us at the property and showed us around when we arrived. The house is a beautiful from the exterior with a rustic stone facade and the views of the countryside are amazing, especially in the early morning. It is a 15 minute drive to Orvieto and accessible for travel by car or train on other excursions (we went by car to Assisi and by train to Florence with ease). Families traveling with children should be advised that the interior of the house is a bit of a maze, with distance between the main living area and the bedrooms. And there is adult-themed (erotic) art located in nearly every room of the house. We did not see this in the listing or the photos online. While art is a matter of taste, parents should take note of this feature in order to make an informed decision. The house is very much rustic, which we expected to a degree. For example, a wood fireplace in the kitchen is the heating source for the entire house. The house could use a thorough cleaning, especially floors and bathrooms. I will say that Tina was amazing and started a fire for us while we were away one day in order to heat the house. Without her, we would have had colder nights!
