Das Apartment war perfekt, vor allem mit Hund, und hat uns einen wunderschönen Urlaub bereitet. Es gab alles was man brauchte und sogar einen Grill, das war toll. Alles in allem super, würden wir wieder buchen.

Perfekte Lage für einen Badeurlaub am See! Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber. Die Kinder haben auf dem ausgeklappten Sofa wunderbar geschlafen.

Nice, basic apartment in a resort on the edge of the Lake Lugano. Overall the resort is nice, well managed and facilities are fine. This particular apartment is on a corner, which means people, and to some degree also cars, are constantly walking by with free view of the terrace and garden - same applies to the neighbors, just across the hedge. That said, this apartment has a large awning, which gives great shelter from the hot afternoon sun. Combined with air conditioner in the bed room, it’s very comfortable. The apartment has very basic kitchen equipment, so very basic cooking is possible, but check what’s available before making plans - e.g there was no cutting board. The view is astonishing, and the park and beach just outside your door. On weekends the beach is popular with local residents as well, so parking can be a bit crammed. The lake has very clear water, and provides a lovely swim while adoring the beautiful surroundings. Just be careful with children- it gets deep really quickly. Great location for going to Lugano or Menaggio, but also nice for staying in. The Carrefour supermarket in Carlazzo (approx 5 km towards Menaggio) is open 24 hours, and until 20 has manned deli’s with amazing food - also great take away dishes. Beware, that when communicating through Airbnb messages, it’s with a centralised resort service center, which has no knowledge of this resort- Porto Leticia. Contact details to them is sent via email just before arrival. Reception is open until 22, and they speak excellent English. We were a little surprised by unannounced extra charges, hopefully the Airbnb post will be updated for the future: On arrival they charge either a safety deposit of 200 euros - then your apartment must be checked by a person on departure. Or you can pay 25 euros upfront with no extra charges. We had a nice time, and would consider going back.
