Pros: The apartment layout and function, patio, pool, access to drive/park on property was excellent. Our visit was during a significant heat wave and without AC the apartment maintained a reasonable temp all things considered. The unit is located on a lower level and is mostly shaded in the afternoon - the window coverings closed in the morning worked very well to protect the temp from rising to extreme levels. Cons / Comments: The beds and sofas are well used and not very comfortable. Wifi was not working and never worked during our stay - contact with the office as soon as we arrived which resulted in no solution. Walking access to the village is long and dangerous via the main road (as suggested by google maps). We figured out if we jumped the fence at the opposite end of the property via the other car park it saved significant time and increased our ability to safely walk to the village. The ability to open the car gate (or knowledge of how to open) would have been very helpful. Once past the fence the walk to the village is very nice (mind you a significant hill back). It took us a while to figure out the best route of roads and walkways to the village - a map of the routes would be helpful. Instructions on what to do with garage/recycling were very detailed to use specific coloured bags - no bags were provided. Instructions were to place garbage/recycling in a specific location near the car park but the location was over grown. No sign that anybody else does the same so I wasn't comfortable that it was still the right thing to do - left garbage in unit.

Our family of 6 people (parents and almost adult children) stayed here for 7 nights. Spacious and clean apartment in a good location. Great views from the apartment, private garden, and especially from the large swimming pool. We recommend it to groups who want their own peace and travel by car. Menaggio is a beautiful place and offers various activities, such as boating, riding a scooter, and even a car trip to Switzerland.

We had a great stay in this lovely apartment and thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Italy – we will be back for sure. I would also like to thank you for your friendly, helpful but also unobtrusive service and support during our stay. We would recommend your company highly. We would very highly recommend two restaurants which I do not think were referenced in your information pack. We found both were highly rated on Trip Advisor: (a) La Vecchia Magnolia in Loveno. Friendly service, value for money and an excellent range of meat, fish, pasta and pizza dishes, ample parking very near the restaurant and the entertainment of being able to watch locals bowling; (b) For the most wonderful pizzas with many ingredients grown in their own gardens this is a must visit – best pizzas we have ever tasted. It is not cheap for pizzas but the people are wonderful, the setting is great, the food is lovely and it is value for money overall, as well as being open all day 7 days a week. http://pizzeriabalognett.com/ Of the restaurants mentioned in your guide Bilacus in Bellagio was our favourite. This had also been highly recommended by friends with family that live in the area. Gorgeous food and excellent service. Foxtown is worth a visit on a wet day but I would recommend customers either go early (before opening time) or don’t bother, as there is insufficient parking for the amount of visitors. We spent nearly half an hour hunting for a parking space having arrived only half an hour or so after opening time. Our favourite visit was to Villa del Balbianello. We drove to Lenno, parked up there and got the water taxi to the Villa. After a lovely visit on a very warm day we had an enjoyable coffee break and walk around Lenno thereafter. We thoroughly enjoyed our trips on the ferry to Bellagio and Varenna and spent some enjoyable time at Lake Lugano as well as Como. We ran out of time to get to Milan and would certainly do some more excursions as well as hiring a boat as and when we come back. A beautiful part of the world and highly recommended.

Oh my goodness, what a vacation we have had on Lake Como! It was beautiful! We can fully recommend Perla Di Sonenga Giardino to stay in. We felt like we had our own slice of paradise! The luxury condo was perfect for us and our private garden and luxury accommodation suited us just fine! We were so close by car to the golf club, the tennis in Loveno and the grocery stores and pretty charms of Menaggio. It was also great for reaching Varenna and Bellagio by ferry from Menaggio and also the villas were a 15 minute drive away! Thank you Happy Holiday Homes for making us feel so welcome during our stay. Your friendly faces and helpfulness went along way in making our self-catering vacation even more fantastic.

Thanks so much for a fantastic family hols on Lake Como. Our holiday home was just perfect! The fully-fitted kitchen was so handy and we had some great meals outside with the fun BBQ grill and lake view terrace. The girls were taken with the garden, sunloungers and swimming pool! Little Millie also had a great time in the paddling pool. It was great to have air-con alongside all the mod cons and the parking was great for our rental car. The complex was really luxurious and felt very exclusive. It was really well situated for reaching the central lake towns and attractions by car and we had such a fun time in the outdoor centre in Bellagio and tree climbing centre above Varenna. The lake was also a blast to go out on and HHH were a great help with arranging our boat rental. Thanks again!!

We had a fabulous time this August on Lake Como! My family stayed in a fantastic new development on the Menaggio hillside. It was perfect for Richard and our eldest son to reach the golf and we thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful views and idyllic surroundings! The garden had to be the best feature for me. There was a lovely BBQ and covered dining area where we enjoyed quite a few alfresco dinner parties during our stay! The centre of Menaggio was within easy reach by car and it was a godsend for enjoying a self-catering stay to its fullest; with lots of delicatessens, green grocers and supermarkets all available in the town. I would just like to mention that many of the shops seemed to close from lunchtime onwards for a long period of time (siesta?) so I would recommend food shopping in the morning if possible! There were many good restaurants in the town too as well as two 'agroturismos' which were recommended to us by the very helpful HHH team. We were extremely happy with the quality and luxury of the property as well as the well maintained communal areas, sun deck and swimming pool. Thank you for an unforgettable stay on Lake Como!

Regarding the unit, I would say overall we we very satisfied. The masterbedroom was a great size, as the 2nd bedroom was manageable. The third is quite small and because the door doesn't actually close it is tough for little kids, but we managed. There is no TV in the living room - This should be explained to familes especially who may count on this a bit more.The kitchen was updated and the bathrooms were great. The outside area was very nice and the property managers were extremely helpful, especially when the fireplace fell off the wall! The pool was beautiful and perfectly placed. However, umbrellas are really essential for a nice pool. Overall I give our stay an 9/10 and the only negative was the drive to town. Thank you for helping us have a great stay, we will be sure to reccomend you.

We are preparing for our departure tomorrow and would like to leave you some feedback before we go. First, we loved the Lake Como region, Menaggio, the property at La Perla di Sonenga, and your kind and courteous staff. It was a pleasure to be here and you helped to create a warm and pleasant environment for us. In particular, we found all the pre-arrival communications prompt courteous and accommodating, which was very much appreciated, as well as the thoughtful suggestions for what to do from Harold. We also found the team very supporting during our stay. In particular, the welcome basket we received in the property, the proactive text messages to help us when it appeared we were arriving later than expected, Bryan's personal tour of the property, and the help in obtaining a later checkout due to the strike at the Milan airports, all stood out as instances of exemplary service. Thanks again for everything and we will certainly recommend you to friends and family who are considering holidaying in the Como region.

We stayed here as a group of six during our trip to Lake Como. The location was good, and the host provided clear and helpful instructions on how to find the accommodation and collect the key. The residential complex itself is beautiful, with a stunning pool area and a fantastic view. We especially enjoyed spending time on the terrace. Unfortunately, the apartment itself was quite disappointing. The floor appeared dirty, as if it had not been properly cleaned for some time. The furniture was very worn, and several doors and other fixtures were damaged or broken. In the bathroom, the ceiling around the ventilation area was stained, which gave an unclean impression. There was also a broken table left next to the terrace. The beds were uncomfortable, there was a musty smell throughout the apartment, and the curtains looked dirty as well. Overall, we did not feel particularly comfortable inside the apartment and preferred spending our time outside.

Boligen i sig selv var ok. Udendørs terrasse/have levede ikke op til forventningerne da det ikke var så velholdt som på billederne. Ellers ok beliggenhed som er i gåafstand til byen men dog en lidt lang tur ned og op igen.
