The spacious outdoor deck/patio with the enchanting view was a highlight of our stay. It’s a beautiful setting to relax in and spend time with family or friends. The lake, restaurants and shops are in walking distance. Walking the hill back up is a good way to work off pasta and gelato! The hill would be daunting, however, if you have mobility issues. The big pillars in the garage make the parking space a challenge. Nevertheless, we were able to park a mid-sized SUV in it with A LOT of effort. The most notable missing feature is a lack of a door on one of the bedrooms. The kitchen is well stocked, but some dish towels and a small bottle of dish soap would be appreciated. We didn’t have any trouble using the washer, dryer or dishwasher but did lose power for a couple of hours. Be careful about running multiple appliances at the same time.In summary, we would go back for the view.

This is an amazing place with great view. We enjoyed staying there for three nights. It was big and comfortable. They left us a box with wine and snacks but white it was missed was the lack of certain basic spices for Airbnb with kitchen. We did a quick grocery shopping. We have stayed in other Airbnb and they all had basic cooking essentials (salt, oil,etc.) overall we had a great experience and was happy with everything else.

Great location at a quieter side of Lake Como. Stairs down to town was easily accessible to visit the restaurants. If we did this differently we probably would have rented a car rather than rely on the ferry. Make sure to take a boat tour while here and see the Orrido in Bellano

A very lovely stay in Menaggio. Very close to the city centre, so no cars were needed during the stay. Also close to the dock, so we were able to travel to other cities around Como as well. Very good instructions to find the property.

An amazing part of the world. The location had an great view, spacious balcony and was a short walk to the Lake (stairs made for a shorter route but road route available without stairs) Host company were local and great with communication and service.

We stayed at this wonderful property in late September just as the traditional busy season was coming to an end. The days were still warm and pleasant but the crowds had dispersed. We wanted a relaxing week next to one of the world’s most scenic lakes. The views from the balcony are spectacular, stretching right up to the peaks of Switzerland. The morning sunrise over the lake was a perfect start to each day, watching all the boats on the lake go about their business. Our days were spent lazily enjoying coffees in the morning from one of the many cafes by the lake, wine sampling at a town wine bar during the day, followed by gelato in the afternoon before dinner at one of the local restaurants- all within a short walk from the property. The closest restaurant (Pizzeria Laguna) is as good as you’ll get so plan a few nights there - but best to book if you can. As for day trips, we enjoyed Veranna and Bellagio - each an easy 15 minute ferry ride away, although the timetable is challenging so check return times carefully. That was about the extent of our adventures outside Menaggio as there was little point leaving. It was all about relaxing and soaking up the ambience of this beautiful town by the lake. The property itself is well furnished and had everything we needed. The modern, clean kitchen has only been recently renovated, as have the bathrooms. All modern and well maintained, especially compared to some of the shockers we have encountered in other Italian properties. Another problem we have encountered at many Italian properties is the bedding. Often old and tired and small, the beds in this property were comfortable, clean and a good size. Bunks in one of the rooms are perfect if travelling with younger kids. The TV is a smart TV with access to streaming services like Netflix should you feel the need to spend a night indoors to stop you overeating at the local restaurants. All in all, a great stay in a well located, well appointed and very comfortable apartment with stunning views. Recommend! Geoff K, Australia

My family had a lovely stay at this flat. Positives are spaciousness, proximity to town, modern kitchen, terrace with great view. Welcome package which included a bottle of wine was a nice gesture. As far as negatives, one issue are mosquitoes on terrace which limited its use, at least if one is prone to getting attacked by mosquitoes which was the case for about half my family. Another negative is lack of AC which was only an issue because most of Europe was in a heat wave. I'm guessing in a normal year an AC might not be necessary, though I really have no idea. Mgmt kindly provided fans throughout the apt which made the stay bearable. The plus side to the heat wave is that swimming in Lake Como was incredibly refreshing. All in all, I would recommend a stay here. The negatives I mention aren't really mgmt's fault; just a particular circumstance of my stay.

The location is a bit challenge if you travel to Menaggio by train/bus and reach to the property on feet with luggage because of the stairs to go from one street to another and lack of pavement however if anyone drive this could not be an issue. Rather than this we have no issue to walk from the house to bus stop, ferry station or local restaurants. Highly recommend to anyone travel in large group or big family. If you like to brew your coffee and see the sun rise or cook your Italian meals home and have dinner in the terrace and watch the lake's sunset this could be one option to consider.

July 2018 Amazing apartment with mountain, town and lake views! The apartment was in a great location, walking distance from the town which was great because we did not come with a car (we came by ferry!). There was more than enough room for the 7 of us and we really enjoyed spending time on the large patio with breathtaking views. Although there is no air conditioning in the apartment there were plenty of fans to keep us cool in July. The apartment was clean and the beds were comfortable. The area feels very safe, private and quiet. The town of Menaggio was perfect for us to explore and we were able to find everything we needed in the two grocery stores. The staff at Happy Holiday Homes was very professional and helpful during our stay. I would recommend this property to anyone! Stephanie, USA

July 2018 We loved staying at the property and at Menaggio. The view from property is excellent and breathtaking. Rooms are big enough. Kitchen is small but frankly we didn’t need the kitchen. Mater bathroom is renovated and wonderful. The 2nd bathroom is also nice but lacks a shower curtain - so the whole bathroom will become wet after a shower. Living room and dining room are large and well designed and include large TV with satellite. 5-minute walk to town and restaurants. We will certainly stay there again. Majid, UK

July 2016 Enjoyed our stay. View from balcony was amazing. Bed in Master bedroom was great. Kitchen was good and well equipped. Glad there were ice cube trays in freezer. The condo was spacious. Wifi worked well. Very happy. Staff in your office were great. The drive to Lake Lugano was nice, also the drive to Mont Bre. The location its self was excellent. The view was spectacular and the rooms and accommodations were comfortable. My only complaint and warning is getting to and from the location itself as is difficult to get to if you are traveling with luggage, children, elderly or injured. I had thought 8 mins from the ferry terminal was not bad but I did not realize it was basically a hike up the mountain with luggage and the whole family. There are portions of this walk that do not have proper lighting or sidewalk as well with flights of stairs and the apt is located on a narrow two way street where you have to cross at this very sharp turn so it is a bit nerve racking. My suggestion would be have the key in a key box on the property instead of requiring guest to check in person at the office back in town... We had to walk back down in the pouring rain to get the keys.So make sure you read the instructions!

Amazing location overlooking lake Como. And super close to the ferry. The village is so beautiful. Cute restaurants and stunning outlook. The place is huge big enough for a family or a group of couples or friends. The only issues we had where The main bedroom had no door. Slightly odd? Power outlets were hard to use as they had strange 3 prongs that didn’t fit out plugs and the TV outlet was all UK plugs and didn’t fit into the wall plugs. Apart from this is was a super place to stay.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à MENAGGIO. L'appartement est très bien agencé et la vue sur la lac est magnifique. Le seul hic ....l'emplacement de parking pour un véhicule de 4.50m ...il faut être un champion de la manœuvre pour s'y garer (nous avons même du emprunté la place d'un voisin ,qui elle était plus large)

July 2016 Our visit to Menaggio was breathtaking. We arrived at Bella Menaggio Terrazzo, and was pleased with the apartment, it looked as it does on the website. The views are stunning, and well worth the walk up the hill. We arrived with 3 motorcycles and the space allocated to us was ample, and covered and most importantly, it was secure. Menaggio is a lovely place and we didn't have any favourite places to eat, they were all good. A trip on the lake is a must to visit over places and the Lido is worth a visit too. I would definitely recommend the place and staff at Happy Homes were efficient and really helpful. Trevor, UK

My husband, myself, daughter and her 2 young children stayed for 2 weeks in this wonderful apartment and would return in a heart beat! The apartment is large, comfortable and has an outstanding view of the lake and mountains. It is minutes from town center and the ferries. WE LOVED IT!!!

Het was een prachtige plek, de locatie was perfect. Dichtbij de ferry. Maar wel wat gebreken in het appartement. De deur miste in de master bedroom. Stopcontacten los, wc rook niet echt fris. Maar ondanks dit wel een fijn verblijf gehad. Terras met zicht op het Comomeer maakte veel goed.

The view was about the only accurate part of this listing. Pictures show a heavily staged apartment that is very bare bones in reality. All of the problems listed in other reviews going way back remain an issue. There is no door on the master and the screen provided kept falling over and was an inadequate substitute. Several bathroom drains run slow. The location was good. Walkable to main restaurants and ferry. And the view is stunning! All in all we had a good experience but would probably not book this place again at this price if we return.

This accommodation is in a great location with a 5-10 minute walk to restaurants. There is an amazing view of the lake and mountains. There is plenty of room for a group of people. Be warned, there is no door on the Master bedroom and the second bathroom's light fitting was broken and appeared to be so for a long time. We were there for 5 days and reported this and although assured usthey would be fixed, they weren't.

Be aware, they charge you the highest cleaning rate on Airbnb but deliver filthiest bathrooms! Location- I don’t recommend it unless you have a car. Very hard to walk/climb to the place No side walk on a very tiny road. They should at least offer to drive you with your luggage for the first time. However, incredibly amazing views!!!

Location is beautiful, kitchen is lovely, house is modern and well furnished. Do not recommend for larger groups; neighbors are not friendly and have posted warnings not mentioned in this listing. Doesn’t come with basic household supplies (dish soap, dish towels ect.), so make sure to visit a grocery store first. We experienced an issue hot water/heating which led to cold showers or cold sleeps - likely from a new heater and is not expected to be an issue for any guests in the future. Hosts were quick to respond and lend a helpful hand

The location of this apartment is great, just a 5 minute downhill walk to the main area of Menaggio (which does mean back uphill to get home but that's ok)! The kitchen is nicely updated and well-equipped for cooking if you'd like to, which we did (but there was no Moka pot, which was curious for an Italian home). The terrace has a great view and two of the three bathrooms are also nicely updated. The two larger beds are comfortable, though the linens and bedding don't really fit and the comforters/blankets seem to be quite old and outdated. A member of the management team did meet us at the property with keys, which was very kind as it was pouring rain and walking to the house from the office with luggage would not have been fun. Unfortunately that is where the positives kind of end. One of the bathrooms has several issues that are, for the most part, easy fixes. The overhead light bulb gets very dim quickly, which makes makeup application and fixing hair very difficult. The water takes a very long time to get warm in the sink (though the shower heats up fine), and the shower curtain needs replacing as it is ripped from the hooks at both ends. That same shower is very slippery while showering. The bunk bed does not seem safe (it's quite wobbly and the top bunk has no railing) and the top bunk mattress is very thin. My 5 year-old slept fine on the bottom bunk but we did not trust it to hold the weight of an adult on the top bunk. Two adults in our group slept on the couches in the living room instead. The day we arrived, which was a Friday, we found there were only a few rolls of toilet paper (there were 7 of us so we anticipated needing more) so I contacted the management office and was told they would alert the cleaning staff to get us additional rolls the following day. Saturday came and went with no additional TP, so Sunday I sent the office another message. That time I did not receive a reply at all and no additional rolls ever came. We didn't expect to have to purchase TP on vacation, but it is what it is.

The apartment location is great for being slightly outside of the main downtown. It was spacious, has an amazing view and could comfortably fit a big group. However, we found the space needed a VERY deep clean, it was very dirty, NO AC made the hot days and nights rough, and the road up and back to town is a bit dangerous for walking. The biggest issue we had was that the gate was broken and wouldn’t allow us to leave the property. We had to CRAWL over the fence to unlock it from the other side the entire trip. If you aren’t able bodied I don’t know what you would have done. We told the company 1 hour into our trip and it was never fixed the entire time.
