Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc: Tutto quello che c'è da sapere

Ogni anno, Chamonix diventa un centro di forza, resistenza, coraggio e festeggiamenti per una settimana, quando l'Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) inizia in questa stazione sciistica di fama mondiale. Anche quest'anno, dal 28 agosto al 3 settembre 2023, i corridori e gli spettatori dell'UTMB si riuniranno a Chamonix per questo evento imperdibile.   Continua a leggere e scopri tutto quello che c'è da sapere sull'Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) del 2023!  Cos'è l'Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc?  L'evento fa parte dell'UTMB World Series, il circuito di trail-running più importante al mondo che organizza eventi di corsa per professionisti e dilettanti nei luoghi più incredibili del pianeta.  L'evento comprende 7 gare di resistenza, che vanno dai 53 km (la OCC) ai 300 km (la PTL), con 2 gare per i giovani e per i volontari, i partner e la comunità locale. Ma il percorso più famoso e impegnativo è l'omonimo dell'evento: l'UTMB, una delle gare a piedi più dure al mondo, con i partecipanti che coprono il percorso del Tour Du Mont Blanc attraverso un tempo imprevedibile e una fatica intensa. I diversi percorsi dell'impegnativo Tour du Mont Blanc  All'Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc partecipano circa 10.000 persone, di cui circa 2300 corrono la gara principale dell'UTMB. I corridori dell'UTMB hanno a disposizione un massimo di 46h30 per completare la gara, che si estende per 171 chilometri su sentieri con dislivelli superiori a 10.000 metri! Tuttavia, i più veloci l'hanno completata in meno di 21h! Anche il tasso di abbandono è pazzesco e può aggirarsi intorno al 40%, soprattutto negli anni in cui le condizioni meteorologiche non sono ideali.  Cosa fare per partecipare all'Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc?  Non tutti possono partecipare a questa dura settimana di gare. Per qualificarsi è necessario completare un certo numero di impegnative "gare di qualificazione" (note anche come "running stones") per accumulare punti ed esperienza sufficienti prima di poter richiedere un posto attraverso il sistema di lotteria dell'UTMB. Un corridore deve aver accumulato 10 "punti" correndo le gare di qualificazione in un determinato periodo di tempo. Gli organizzatori dell'UTMB aggiornano ogni anno il loro sito web per riflettere il numero di punti necessari per partecipare a ciascuna gara. Quanto è affollata Chamonix in agosto al momento dell'UTMB?  Tutti, dagli spettatori ai corridori di trail d'élite, accorrono nella vibrante Chamonix per assistere a questo spettacolo mozzafiato di perseveranza e forza umana. In media, circa 50.000 spettatori arrivano a Chamonix e partecipano a tutte le attività dei villaggi del Pays du Mont-Blanc, il che significa che l'atmosfera è davvero vivace e festosa! Goditi una birra o una bevanda calda in uno dei tanti ski bar di Chamonix  Ora che sappiamo perché l'UTMB è così prestigiosa e famosa, scopriamo tutto quello che c'è da fare durante uno degli eventi più emozionanti di Chamonix!   Poiché l'UTMB è un evento che dura sei giorni a Chamonix, c'è un'atmosfera costante di tifo, attesa e incoraggiamento mentre i corridori continuano a raggiungere il traguardo. Quindi, anche se non sei corridore, potrai essere travolto da emozioni pure, guardando la gara che giunge al suo finale e i corridori che attraversano l'arco dell'UTMB a Chamonix. Scopri un'altra Lugano con il Sentiero dell'olivo

Se vuoi staccare dalla città di Lugano per un giorno, il Sentiero dell'Olivo è quello che fa per te! Questa pittoresca passeggiata sul lago si allontana dalla città e richiede circa 50 minuti - 1,5 ore per essere completata, a seconda del proprio ritmo preferito. Il sentiero è adatto anche ai bambini e quindi perfetto per una gita in famiglia!Una vista sul Lago di Lugano dal Sentiero dell’olivo  Segui l'itinerario autoguidato del Sentiero dell’olivo di Lugano  Snodandosi tra Castagnola e Gandria, il panoramico Sentiero dell'olivo attraversa i resti di antichi oliveti e la zona di recente reintroduzione dell'olivo. Lungo il percorso pedonale, i luoghi identificativi del Sentiero dell'olivo guidano nella giusta direzione, passando per Scarigiöla ed Elvezia al Lago.   Il percorso vista lago è completato da 18 pannelli didattici in quattro lingue, pensati per informare i visitatori sulla storia e sul significato della coltivazione dell'olivo in Ticino, che vanta un ricco patrimonio che risale addirittura al 769 d.C.! I pannelli multilingue forniscono anche informazioni sulla botanica, sui metodi di coltivazione locali e sulla variegata gamma di prodotti creati con l'olio d'oliva di provenienza locale. Come accedere al Sentiero dell’olivo?  Il sentiero è accessibile sia da Castagnola (vicino all'ex municipio) che da Gandria (dal parcheggio sulla strada cantonale sopra il paese). Se soggiorni a Lugano, ti consigliamo di partire dalla parte luganese di Castagnola, ma puoi anche partire dall'altra parte, a Gandria. Dal punto di partenza di Castagnola, il percorso di 3 km da Lugano termina nel caratteristico villaggio di pescatori di Gandria, servito da un traghetto, da una fermata dell'autobus e da collegamenti stradali. Da Lugano città si può anche prendere l'autobus n. 2 da Lugano Stazione fino alla fermata di Castagnola Posta. Il tempo di percorrenza è di circa 16-18 minuti. Altrimenti, si può prendere il traghetto per Gandria dal Porto di Lugano Centrale o da Lugano Paradiso e inziare il percorso da lì.Un segnale che indica il percorso dell'olivo  Punti salienti del Sentiero dell'olivo  Partendo da Castagnola (il punto di partenza è il parcheggio di San Domenico a Castagnola), il tranquillo percorso del Sentiero dell’olivo che passa accanto al Lido San Domenico garantisce uno splendido scenario.   Poco dopo essere passati sotto il pittoresco arco che segna l'inizio del sentiero, si può scegliere se proseguire lungo il sentiero principale fino a Gandria o prendere la deviazione che sale al Parco dell'olivo, un parco terrazzato ricco di boschi, flora e fauna tipici della macchia mediterranea, per poi tornare a percorrere il sentiero in riva al lago più avanti. Il Sentiero dell’olivo è percorribile anche in bicicletta  Percorrendo il sentiero si può ammirare una selezione di belle ville sul lago, come Villa Helenium, una sede congressuale con un piccolo giardino aperto al pubblico. Davanti alla villa ci sono dei gradini che scendono al lago, il che la rende un luogo di balneazione molto amato dagli abitanti del posto.   Suggerimento: se hai intenzione di andare in estate, non dimenticare di mettere in valigia il costume da bagno e la crema solare!  Altri punti salienti di questa parte del percorso sono la spettacolare parete rocciosa di Scarigiöla, i pendii meridionali inondati dal sole e la splendida vista sul lago.Il parco sul lago di Lugano di Villa Helenium  Sul molo di Gandria, non perderti l’antico ulivo alto 10 metri con un tronco di 45 cm di diametro, noto come Ulivo del Carlin, situato accanto al porticciolo e alla mola che un tempo veniva utilizzata per macinare le olive ed estrarre l'olio. Per festeggiare il raggiungimento della meta, si può anche gustare un pasto con vista sul lago e un bicchiere di vino al "Ristorante Antico" di Gandria! I suggestivi vicoli di Gandria con case antiche e strade acciotolate Cosa fare a Gandria  Esplora il caratteristico villaggio di pescatori, situato ai piedi del Monte Brè e ricco di fascino e storia.
