The place is perfect! Right on beautiful walking trails and close to town. The apartment itself is clean and has all the amenities. We would come back!

Es ist einfach wunderschön gelegen, ruhige Villenwohngegend. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Man war schnell in Downtown Lugano oder eben auch in Gandria oder SBB.

Im Grossen & ganzen hat’s uns sehr gefallen - es war sauber & ordentlich- die Lage perfekt. Was uns etwas gestört hat war, dass man nicht direkt Zugang zum Balkon/terrasse hatte. Man musste dann immer durchs Haus laufen & durch die Haupttüre. Ansonsten tip top.

We greatly enjoyed our stay. First and foremost is the breathtaking view of the lake from the room, but everything else about the accomodations were wonderful. You provided excellent instructions which we greatly appreciate. Having a dedicated parking spot is a huge advantage. I could not have asked for a better location, steps away from the park, and trail head to Gandria.. If asked for one piece of advice, I would recommend that you please do something about the mold in the hallway. It gives a bad first impression, not consistent with the impeccable cleanthiness of everything else. Thank you.

The location was unparalleled. The view was priceless. Just 30 min walk to Gandria. Dedicated parking spot was huge bonus. Instructions from management very helpful.

The location was superb in terms of the overall and complete quiet (except for the hammering late one afternoon right under my window). Walkable distance to stores, but some indication that there is a bus stop nearby would have been good to know. Loved being located on the trail to Gambria.

Incredible lake view with private parking spot. Key was required for outside gate, bldg and room so it was very secure. Strong powerful shower, nice clean room and comfortable bed. The huge windows opened up to the lake view and let the fresh air in. You are steps from a great walk along the water and a 2 mile hike to olive trails. We drove into Lugano in 7 mins and walked into town in 25 but it felt like nothing since the views were so pretty. We liked being outside the main town but perhaps because we had a car. Parking in Lugano is best at the parking garage next to the cultural center for 2Euro/hr or so. Once you pop up from the parking garage, you will have hundreds of high end shops to see, gelato at the famous Vanini. Sushi at Kohakinko was amazing (order soft shell crab). The furnicula to Mt Bre was expensive ($25 euro each) but very cool. Great walks and hike at the top and pricey restaurants. Lugano is awesome but very expensive. We even got to see a Symphony From Austria that just happened to be in town at the Cultural center. Very cool place! Next time we’ll rent a boat for 2 hrs like we did in Como Bellagio area.

Location is a little bit difficult to access as the walk to the house is a slight distance from the bus stop. That aside, the bus (bus 2) at the bus stop was relatively frequent and goes straight to most important locations (train station, Lugano Centro, etc.). The neighbourhood is relatively quiet and chill, and has an amazing view of Lugano bay and the surrounding mountains. The house is also quite well furnished with all facilities stated usable! The main door to the apartments, however, may be slightly awkward to open (turning of the key etc.) and we were unfamiliar on opening it. However, the host was easily contactable and gave us the correct contacts - after which the agent drove down promptly to assist us in opening the door. Overall, a wonderful stay and we definitely recommend this beautiful apartment to those visiting Lugano.

Sehr ruhige, sonnige Lage etwas abseits vom Rummel (und damit halt auch von Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants). Das Appartment ist zweckmässig ausgestattet und verfügt sogar über einige Teebeutel, Kaffeekapseln, Gewürze etc. Schade ist lediglich, dass es keinen direkten Zugang zum Aussensitzplatz gibt.

We really enjoyed our stay at Gelsonimo Apartment. Castagnola is a bit outside of Lugano, very quiet, beautiful view of Lake Lugano. The next bus stop is only ca. 5 minutes walking from the apartment. Everything was very clean, the kitchen was equipped with everything needed (even salt, pepper, oil, detergent, towels, microwave). There was even a bottle of sparkling wine on the table (maybe because it was New Year's Eve). In summer, you can sit on the little terrace just outside the apartment. On departure, you're responsible for trash disposal (the instruction pdf indicates where you need to take it, it is approximately 5min from the airbnb).

Das Seeufer war in wenigen Metern durch einen Park direkt erreichbar. Wir nutzten diese Möglichkeit auch gerne zum Baden im See. Nachts war es sehr ruhig, tagsüber gab es allerdings unerwartet viel Autoverkehr auf der kleinen Straße. Es gab sehr viele Ablagemöglichkeiten in Form von Regalen und Schränken, das Bett war sehr bequem, 180cm breit und scheinbar auch noch recht neu. Die Größe der Wohnung ist für zwei Personen völlig ausreichend. Wir hatten die Möglichkeit Fahrräder auf der Terrasse und vor dem Eingangsbereich abzustellen. Die Unterkunft war auf den ersten Blick sehr sauber, nicht mal unter dem Bett waren Flusen oder Staub. Allerdings wenn man einen Blick in die Deckenleuchten wirft, dann quellen die nach unten gewölbten Gläser förmlich über von toten Fliegen. Auch auf dem Schrank lag der Staub fingerdick. Es zeigt, dass das Putzpersonal hier einen blinden Fleck zu haben scheint, denn sonst war wie gesagt alles vorbildlich sauber.

Beautiful place, direct view on the lake. From our room, we could not reach the balcony directly (only accessible from outside) but this was not a problem. Wer hat a small issue with the parking place at the arrival, but it was very fast solved thanks to Naomi.

Gute Lage, der See ist durch den Park leicht erreichbar. Die Betten waren sehr bequem. Schöner Blick von der Terrasse aus. Das Zimmer war zweckmäßig eingerichtet und vor allem bis auf wenige Ausnahmen sehr sauber.

Positive: Die Unterkunft war sauber und schön Kühl bei der Hitze, ruhige lage mit zugang zum See im Park 5 min zu fuss. Viel Platz und genug Möbel zum Material und kleider zu versorgen. Negative: Der Grill war sehr gebraucht und funktionierte nur teilweise. Die Proseco flasche war leider nicht mehr gut als wir sie bei der Ankunft trinken wollten.

Location was wonderful. Beautiful view and close to the Olive Trail. After the great but very upbeat time in Lugano, having the tranquil experience of the unit and its location was appreciated. The sliding doors did not work properly and should be fixed so guests can hang their items if they choose to do so. Finally, our GPS tends to malfunction when faced with vertical topography, and it happened in this instance. Accordingly, more detailed instructions on how to get to the unit that first time would have been hugely helpful This might be a problem unique to us, but I would think many guests would arrive tired from traveling and would really appreciate the detailed instructions on how to reach the unit. Our overall experience was great and we would recommend this unit highly.

die Wohnung war mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattet, war sauber und gepflegt und mit Sicht auf den Lago. Schade war nur, dass kein Restaurant oder Supermarkt fussläufig zu erreichen war.

The rental is in a fantastic location, and very clean. it has a fantastic view. however the 6 pages of information that is suggested to print off when you are traveling is a bit of an ask. The instructions about a small key needed to open the parking spot doesn't exist, then there is the main door to the apartment block which you MUST have a key for if you want to go put to the balcony ( Which you cannot access from the apartment). 24 hour service there is not, and customer service is lacking. The agent made us wait 4 hours to help us get into main block.....and we had to go to her office, rather than her coming to the apartment! Then there is the issue of having to take the rubbish up the road when you pay exorbitant cleaning fees.

Good location with stunning views. There is a bus stop within walking distance which is very helpful and a stunning garden nearby! The AC was very useful as it was very warm when we were there. Bit disappointed as we we were not able to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning as there were no pods available!

The flat is on a quiet street with a stunning lake view. There is a small balcony, but to access it you need to walk outside the building and into the garden. There is a regular bus service to town, once every 15 min, but it is a 10 min walk uphill to the bus station. The flat is very close to the beautiful Gandria trail, which we did once in day light, and once close to sunset and enjoyed very much. Two little notes: the WiFi password in on a tiny note just below the microwave, and the washing machine is across the corridor, and is operated by special tokens. If the box with tokens is empty, ask the owner for coins.

The apartment is located at the marvelous outskirts of the city of Lugano. There is a nice garden of Villa Helenium just below the apartments and you can get your breakfast on the terrace with a spectacular view on the lake. You can easily take the walk on the lake shore toward the village Gandria from here. The city center is not close to the apartment, and there are no nearby shops anywhere, so a car is required to get to the city, just even to get groceries. If you are not used to Ticino road infrastructure, it can be stressful to move to the apartment on the very narrow Via Cortivo with a bunch of cars parking on the sides. In our case, on the second day someone just took the parking place dedicated for our apartment, so that can cause a confusing situation as well when there are no parking spots available. The apartment interior is OK, mostly furnished with cheap Ikea furniture but it works. The terrace for the apartment has no direct contact with the apartment itself, so you have to go outside the main entrance to approach it from the sideways. Not a very good design, but that works as well. The window in our apt. was malfunctioning, but that was just a tiny problem. The only part where I can say I am a bit dissatisfied is the "garbage management". In the airbnb fee there is a significant amount of cleaning fee included. Even if you pay that, you have to be prepared to take the garbage away from the apartment by yourself, as it seems there is no communal garbage collection provided in Ticino. So you have to take the garbage with a car to somewhere very far away, to some communal garbage container. Some kind of renter friendly solution would be more appropriate, if someone pays for the cleaning fee, try to not make them a garbage truck operator as well.

Little studio flat placed in a nice location, behind the nice Heleneum Park and close to the Lugano lake. Great place to discover Gandria and surrounding. The studio flat is very basic but functional, not suitable for demanding guests looking for luxury.

Prima di parlare del monolocale vorrei spendere due parole sul TEAM che se ne occupa: la comunicazione è rapida, ma il team è inefficiente. Ogni cosa che abbiamo chiesto ha dovuto a sua volta essere trasmessa al “team locale” e questo rallentava i tempi di risposta. Potete capire che, se su un soggiorno di 5 giorni, ce ne vuole 1 per sapere come si accendere l’aria condizionata (problema che tra l’altro abbiamo risolto da soli, perché la persona che ci ha contattato non aveva idea di come funzionasse e se ci fosse un telecomando o meno) il servizio al cliente risulta un po’ critico. Inoltre, la sera al termine del nostro soggiorno, ho subito comunicato di esserci accorti di aver dimenticato un oggetto personale nel monolocale e la mia comunicazione è stata inviata al “team locale”. Non ho ricevuto nessuna risposta. Allora la mattina successiva ho inoltrato nuovamente la richiesta e la risposta è stata: “abbiamo inoltrato un promemoria al team locale. Ci scusiamo per il ritardo”. Evidentemente il “team locale” ha la testa altrove perché anche dopo il promemoria non è arrivata alcuna risposta. Li ho ricontattati per la terza volta e una certa Angela mi risponde che il “team locale” era stato informato e doveva comunicare con il “team delle pulizie” al più presto e che appena possibile mi avrebbero dato risposta. Al più presto? Il prima possibile? Ma se sono passati già due giorni!! Gli ho risposto che con tutti questi giri da team a team le mie cuffiette potevano già essere state vendute! Era una battuta evidentemente, ma non l’hanno capita e mi sono sentita rispondere da Angela, e cito testualmente, “noi facciamo del nostro meglio Monica, in questo momento non è (stata) l’unica ospite da noi per cui le chiediamo semplicemente un po’ di pazienza. E no, non vendiamo oggetti dimenticati dai nostri clienti. Domani le daremo riscontro in quanto ora l’ufficio è chiuso”. Come dire che 2 giorni di attesa non sono sufficienti per essere definiti “pazienti”. Alle 10:36 am del 3. giorno ho scritto ancora e ancora nessuna risposta. Ho quindi fatto richiesta di rimborso tramite Airbnb e miracolosamente qualcuno ha avuto notizie da tutti i team e mi ha risposto!! NO COMMENT. Parliamo di cose serie, ovvero dell’appartamentino: non lo definirei bello, ma carino, dall’arredamento semplice e con poca personalità; però si trova in una zona molto tranquilla e chic di Lugano, proprio di fronte al lago, a pochi minuti in auto dal centro, raggiungibile comodamente anche a piedi. È provvisto di posteggio e questo è un super plus point! Inoltre, è MOLTO PULITO, anche questo un punto a favore non indifferente (e qui ci sta un applauso per il team pulizie!). È anche dotato di un tavolino con due sedie in un piccolo spazio esterno privato (una specie di balcone di fronte al monolocale, non accessibile però direttamente da quest’ultimo ma da un corridoio comune) dove è possibile prendere il sole o fare colazione e godersi la splendida vista su lago e montagne. Nel complesso, considerando anche il prezzo onesto, lo consiglio e, ora che abbiamo tutte le informazioni e possiamo sperare di non aver più bisogno del “team locale”, ci torneremmo anche volentieri.

The location of this rental was great! Beautiful view of the mountains and the lake and was fairly walkable to a bus stop. However, the rental itself did not impress. The room was smelly because there was an awful smell coming from the bathroom that no matter how much we tried to get rid of it, it would not go away. There were no instructions on how to use the amenities, like the dishwasher and the laundry machine, and being from another country, this would be extremely helpful. When I called the rental company about how to use it, they were not able to provide me with any instructions because they had no idea how to use it too. Very frustrating. The pictures made it seem like the deck was connected to the room but that was not the case. You had to leave the building to access the deck. There’s one key for the gate, building door, and the apartment door which is not safe. Additionally, the dishes and the tables and seats on the deck were very dusty and dirty.

La situation est magnifique, le studio était très propre, mais lpas a terrasse. Cette dernière n'est pas accessible depuis le studio, sauf à enjamber la fenêtre.
