In inverno, potrete sciare (il proprietario offre una scuola di sci individuale), praticare lo sci di fondo, pattinare sul ghiaccio e andare in slitta nella proprietà della casa. Gli ospiti più audaci possono praticare sport acquatici e parapendio nelle vicinanze. Per riprendersi da tutte le scariche di adrenalina, c'è anche una spa e un centro benessere a soli 10 minuti di auto. L'affascinante capitale slovena di Lubiana, le Grotte di Postumia, il Castello di Predjama e le Grotte di Škojcan, protette dall'UNESCO, rappresentano delle escursioni incredibili e convenienti. Tutti questi luoghi sono raggiungibili in 30-60 minuti di auto. L'aeroporto internazionale più vicino è quello di Lubiana, a circa 50 minuti di auto.

My family and I stayed in August. We had a very friendly meet with the hosts who were extremely helpful with timings for arrival and also local information. We stayed in Farmhouse Raspberry and everyone absolutely loved it! What a beautiful view everyday of the surrounding mountains and a real surprise and treat to have access to a swimming pool. The farmhouse was extremely clean and renovated to a lovely standard. Location is very well situated with Ljubljana only 45mins away and every other road at our disposal from there. This was our first visit to Slovenia and we were so happy we chose to come as it is a real hidden gem! We highly recommend Farmhouse Raspberry for anyone visiting the area and am sure you will not be disappointed.

Communication with our host was very friendly and helpful. We arrived a little early and were welcomed by the host and his family and we settled in straight away. The location was a little confusing to find to start with as we relied on our sat-nav which wanted to send us one junction down and then on a very interesting track road - albeit very scenic - until it ran out! We found our way eventually and this is no fault of the host, but something to be aware of in case you find the same problems. Look for the signposted ‘Zahomce’ and take this small/tight junction and follow the windy road up the hill till you see the yellow fronted property. The cottage. Wow!!! What a lovely, so well renovated farm building. Everything was very well done and the whole place so well equipped. The views are nothing short of stunning and to wake up to these every day made our holiday even better! The cottage on the first floor has some steep steps (in keeping with the building) so make sure you’re ok with narrow steps if booking to stay on the upper floor. This did not detract from our wonderful stay - my family and I couldn’t recommend Raspberry Cottage highly enough. So many good things to say about the place - it’s not too far off the main road (about 10mins), but feels like an hour away in terms of rural location. It’s great to go for a hike from in a few different directions with fantastic views to be seen. The host allowed us to use the outdoor swimming pool which is both covered and open with a sliding mechanism - and this was very welcomed especially as the weather was very hot during our stay (29°C). Ljubljana is about 40mins away so this is very convenient if you wish to visit the city - and of course any other major Road network from that point. Our neighbours downstairs (also holidaying from another country) bought eggs and salami and cheese from the host who runs his family farm - so we know this is available if you wish. To sum up - if you like a rural setting in a convenient location to a main road network - plus you like views of the Slovenian mountains - don’t think twice about booking!! You will not be disappointed.
