Dit unieke torenhuis uit de 14e eeuw, gelegen in een mooie, besloten tuin met wijnstokken en uitzicht op het prachtige Toscaanse landschap, biedt plaats aan 4 personen. Als u op zoek bent naar een romantisch toevluchtsoord met veel karakter, in het hart van de Chianti-streek, dan is dit de plek voor u.
Dit charmante huis, verdeeld over drie verdiepingen, biedt alles wat u nodig heeft voor een ontspannen verblijf, het hele jaar door. Een open haard in de woonkamer verdrijft de winterkou, terwijl de schaduwrijke loggia’s u in de zomer koel houden.
De ruime woonkamer, op de verhoogde begane grond, is voorzien van een comfortabele bank en fauteuil. Een traditionele bakstenen boog leidt vanuit de woonkamer naar de eetkamer met zijn beschilderde houten plafonds en boekenkasten. Aan de houten eettafel is plaats voor 6 personen. De onlangs gerenoveerde keuken, met rustieke tegels en houten kasten, grenst direct aan de eetkamer en is volledig uitgerust met een kookplaat, oven, magnetron, vaatwasser, koelkast, vriezer en een filterkoffiezetapparaat.
De hoofdslaapkamer met een eenvoudig tweepersoonsbed en een eigen badkamer bevindt zich in de toren boven het woongedeelte.
Beneden, op de lagere begane grond, vindt u een grote pooltafel, die uitkomt op de loggia. Daaraan grenzend, gescheiden door een scherm, ligt de tweede slaapkamer, met 2 eenpersoonsbedden en nog een eigen badkamer.
De loggia is de ultieme buitenruimte, ingericht met een eettafel voor 6 personen, plus comfortabele banken om te ontspannen en van het uitzicht te genieten. Er zijn ook nog meer tafels en stoelen, waardoor gasten volop ruimte hebben om te ontspannen. Voor wie op zoek is naar een meer afgezonderde plek is er een tweede, kleinere loggia met vier fauteuils, waar u in alle rust kunt lezen of genieten van een kopje koffie met uitzicht op de tuinen. Om te zonnen of een dutje in de open lucht te doen, staan er 4 ligstoelen net onder de hoofdloggia.
In de tuin vindt u ook een speciale barbecueplaats en zelfs een pizzaoven, zodat u kunt koken als een echte local.
Slaapgelegenheid
Slaapkamer 1: Deze mooie slaapkamer heeft een tweepersoonsbed, antieke houten kasten en traditionele Florentijnse stoelen, plus een eigen badkamer.
Slaapkamer 2: Met twee eenpersoonsbedden, veel boeken om te lezen en een eigen badkamer.
Badkamers
Badkamer 1: Deze klassiek ingerichte badkamer hoort bij de slaapkamer op de bovenverdieping en is voorzien van een glazen douchecabine, een wastafel, een bidet en een toilet.
Badkamer 2: Deze doucheruimte hoort bij de tweede slaapkamer en is betegeld met traditionele Toscaanse stenen tegels. De ruimte is voorzien van een douche, een wastafel en een toilet.

Houd er rekening mee dat er enkele extra kosten zijn die gasten ter plaatse moeten betalen.
1. Toeristenbelasting van € 2,50 per persoon per dag voor maximaal 4 dagen (kinderen jonger dan 12 jaar zijn vrijgesteld).
2. Verwarming met een pelletkachel (kosten op basis van pelletverbruik).
3. Elektriciteit moet op basis van verbruik worden betaald tegen € 0,35 per kW/h.
4. Gasten dienen bij aankomst een terugbetaalbare borg van € 200 te betalen.
Ligging
Het huis ligt in het hart van de Chianti-heuvels, op 15 minuten rijden van het ommuurde dorpje Monteriggioni, beroemd om zijn middeleeuwse vestingwerken. Van hieruit zijn Florence (1 uur en 5 minuten) en Siena (22 minuten) gemakkelijk te bereiken. Het charmante heuveldorpje San Gimignano, met zijn vele middeleeuwse torens, is zeker een bezoek waard (40 minuten), en er zijn eindeloze mogelijkheden om wijngaarden te bezoeken, fantastische lokale restaurants en markten te ontdekken.
Om even helemaal in de natuur te zijn, zijn er talrijke natuurreservaten in de omgeving, waaronder het nabijgelegen Parco Fluviale Alta Val D’Elsa (23 minuten), met enkele gemakkelijke wandelroutes en de prachtige Diborrato-waterval, waar u kunt zwemmen in een van de rivierpoelen. Voor wat meer ontspanning kun je een bezoek brengen aan de natuurlijke spa, de Terme di Petriolo (45 minuten), voor therapeutische modderbehandelingen en thermaal water.
Als je geïnteresseerd bent in wijn, kun je een rondleiding volgen bij een van de vele wijngaarden rondom Monteriggioni, waar de beroemde lokale wijn, Chianti Colle Senesi, en heerlijke extra vierge olijfolie worden gemaakt. Sluit dat af met een lunch in een van de vele uitstekende restaurants in het dorp.
Als je zin hebt om thuis te koken en de pizzaoven of barbecue wilt uitproberen, kun je terecht op de wekelijkse markt van Monteriggioni voor lokale producten; deze vindt elke donderdag plaats. De marktdag in Siena is woensdag. Alle andere boodschappen kun je in het nabijgelegen Siena doen.
De dichtstbijzijnde internationale luchthavens zijn Florence (51 minuten) en Pisa (1 uur en 25 minuten).

great place and lovely owners! we loved the pizza oven, close enough of Siene and Monteriggioni for day trips or to walk in the trails arround. perfect place to take a break and relax. overall we loved our stay, but the villa as a few quirks. first you need to go through the agency for most communication and paperwork before the check in, and also need watsapp to contact the owner. there's a few extra charges (tourism tax, gaz, electricity) a few essencial were not included (1 roll of toilet paper, no garbage bag). bring some. expect some insects/wild life best way to warm the house is via the fire place, so need to be familliar with starting a fire and confortable with a bit of smoke. those were not an issue for us, but I could see those being a deal breaker for some people. still a great experience for us and loved the stay.

Le séjour au Fortino était vraiment parfait. La demeure est vraiment charmante, dans une campagne toscane magnifique. Nous deux enfants (2 ans et demi et 10 mois) étaient ravis du trampoline. La cheminée et le billard ont ravi les parents. Nous avons pu visiter Sienne, Monteriggioni et San Giminiano très facilement. Laura et ses filles ont été très gentilles. Nous recommandons fortement.

La casa és preciosa. Estava neta i està ben equipada. Destacaria sobre tot el porxo, la tranquil·litat que es respira i el forn de llenya. El billar també ofereix moments divertits. La seva ubicació permet passejat pels boscos dels voltants, està a 10 minuts de Siena i al mig de la Toscana. Laura, la persona encarregada de la rebuda, ha sigut molt amable. Durant la nostra estància també ens ha donat alguns consells. Per repetir.

El alojamiento era lo que buscábamos, una casa tranquila de campo desde visitar todo la Toscana y poder volver a descansar a un sitio tranquilo cada día. La comunicación es directa con Laura, no hay agencia y ella hace la entrada y la salida. La casa no tiene aire acondicionado, pero con las ventanas abiertas se dormía muy bien en pleno mes de Agosto. y en ningún momento tuvimos problemas de insectos, ratas ni ningún otro tipo de animal. El único pero es que la descripción indica que hay dos baños completos, pero el baño de abajo la ducha no es operativa puesto que no hay plato de ducha y se encuentra en medio del baño con recogida de aguas en medio del baño. La dueña nos indicó también que mejor no ducharse allí. Somos 4 personas que después de hacer excursiones nos duchábamos los 4 todos los días y no es lo mismo tener una ducha que dos, en nuestro caso es un inconveniente puesto que busco dos baños completos, se debería cambiar en la descripción. El resto de la casa muy bien.

A very friendly hostess and her equally friendly daughter. A very atmospheric old Tuscan house with a huge garden and lots of knick-knacks inside and outside. The house is very well equipped with all the necessary and unnecessary accessories. A quiet, peaceful location with a beautiful view (weather permitting) of Siena. The barbecue, which we used, and the fireplace inside the house, in the living room (which we did not use), were great. Both are wood-fired, and the hostess provides plenty of wood on the property. Nous avons passé une petite semaine au Fortino. C’est un endroit paisible, spacieux et privé. La maison a du cachet, et une histoire, mais la disposition est du coup un peu particulière et pas forcément pratique. Signalons également que tous les services n’étaient pas optimaux : pommeau de douche qui coule, lave-vaisselle qui ne lave pas bien, pas de WiFi mais aussi très peu de réseau, etc. De même, nous regrettons que la communication passe par une agence. Il fallait rentrer en contact avec la propriétaire via un autre canal, ce qui a rendu la communication moins fluide. De plus, la caution en cash (200€) demandée à l’arrivée nous a mis dans l’inconfort. Tout s’est bien passé mais, en tant qu’utilisateurs fréquents d’Airbnb, cela nous a surpris.

Christiana (apparemment une agence intermédiaire) ne sert à rien. Laura (la propriétaire) et sa fille Gaya sont très sympathiques. L'environnement et la maison sont très bien, l'immense terrasse avec vue exceptionnelle. Un point négatif : sur l'annonce, le chauffage est indiqué comme inclus, et ce n'est pas le cas : c'est dommage car la maison est très bien, mais il peut y faire froid (fin avril-début mai notamment).
