History lovers can visit the Museo Archeologico di Olbia (a 10-minute walk) and the Sacred Well of Sa Testa (an 11-minute drive). Olbia serves as a gateway to the Costa Smeralda region, renowned for its luxury resorts and pristine coastline. The city itself enjoys easy access to several pristine beaches including Pittulongu (a 15-minute drive) and Porto Istana (a 20-minute drive), both popular destinations for swimming and snorkelling The town of Porto San Paolo, where visitors can catch a ferry to visit the Island of Tavolara, is a 20-minute drive and located within a marine protected area. The surrounding sea is famous for its beautiful turquoise colour. Porto San Paola centres around a small marina where visitors can enjoy the many boutiques, restaurants and bars here. There are several nearby beaches, accessible by foot, that are great places for snorkelling.
