Additionally, just 10 minutes away is the ski pass office for Colomion, an excellent destination for snowboarding and spectacular alpine views. There is also a lot of history to explore in Bardonecchia: an 8-minute drive away is Fort Bramafam, a museum of the First and Second World Wars. But if guests want to take day trips, then Susa, located just 25 minutes away by car, is highly recommended for its ancient monuments such as the Arch of Augustus of Susa, the Susa Cathedral, Casa Forte Chianocco and the 'Novalesa Abbey. For more adventurous tourists, several rock climbing gyms are within a 10-20 minute drive. In the surrounding area, you can practice other activities such as horse riding, mountain biking and alpine walks. The nearest international airport is Turin, about a 70-minute drive from this holiday home in Bardonecchia.

Warm and cosy apartment, in a quiet area but near the resort (just that bit too far to carry skis etc so we got a locker). It’s also a short walk to town. Comfy beds and a cute little kitchen, well equipped. The office is conveniently opposite the station, and staff were friendly and helpful. We really liked our stay here.

We spent Christmas at The Secret Garden – Happy Rentals and had a really lovely stay. The apartment was very cosy and had a charming mountain feel, perfect for a winter holiday. The kitchen was well equipped, and we were able to cook comfortably for our family of four. The only thing missing was a dishwasher — it would definitely make the stay even more convenient. The sofa bed in the living room was surprisingly comfortable, but we did miss having proper duvet covers. Only the top and bottom sheets were provided, which didn’t really work for us. Apart from that, everything else was great. The heating kept the whole apartment warm and cosy while it was snowing outside, which made the atmosphere even more magical. Overall, we had a wonderful Christmas stay and really enjoyed our time in Bardo!
