There are many historic sites from a Roman amphitheatre to the Norman cathedral and Baroque palaces. The city is also famous for its delicious food, with many local restaurants serving Sicilian specialities and wonderful seafood. Unique to Catania are the “cioscu”, little kiosks all over the city serving refreshments in the hot summer months. Catania’s International Airport is just a 30-minute drive from the apartment.
