The town's main attractions are its beautiful sandy beach, which stretches for several kilometres and the limestone cliffs that overlook the coastline. The closest beach Lido L'Orsetta is less than 5-minutes' walk from the accommodation. For those keen on adventure, the ideal way to explore the natural caves and grottoes dotted along the coastline is in a small boat and visitors will find a kayak rental shop less than 5-minutes' drive along the beach. There are also many opportunities for hiking and cycling along coastal paths and through the lush landscapes and olive groves in the surrounding area. Further afield, the beautiful Baroque city of Lecce, known as the "Florence of the South" is a 35-minute drive away and the picturesque city of Otranto known for its beaches, charming old town, medieval castle and Byzantine-era cathedral is a 20-minute drive. For guests' convenience, there are numerous restaurants, bars and supermarkets all within a 5-minute walk. The closest international airport to Torre dell'Orso is Brindisi-Salento Airport (BDS) approximately a one hour's drive from the accommodation.

Appartamento davvero grande e spazioso e fornito di qualsiasi comfort. Mai trovata una casa vacanza così fornita di qualsiasi cosa si avesse bisogno e soprattutto pulitissimo. Letti comodi. Ottima la doccia esterna e grande plus poter parcheggiare l'auto all'interno del cortile. Posizione perfetta, a pochi passi dal mare e da tutte le attività commerciali/parco giochi, ma nello stesso tempo è posizionata in una via tranquilla. Se dovessi consigliarla a qualcuno per le sue vacanze lo farei ad occhi chiusi.

The accommodation is close to the sea in a quiet area, near the shops and restaurants and the Dentoni cafe where we had our breakfast every day.

La casa ha una posizione eccellente, si scende a piedi in pochi minuti. Vicinissima ai ristoranti e negozi. parcheggio interno utile nella settimana caotica di ferragosto. Le camere sono grandi e utile la doccia esterna. Il personale di Happy rentals molto disponibile e attivo.

Was hat uns gefallen: Die Lage der Wohnung und die Grundausstattung und Größe der Wohnung - sehr gut geeignet für eine Familie. Nur die Kaffeemaschine war für 4 etwas klein. Was hat uns besonders gefallen: Der Einsatz von Maria - selbst am Sonntag Abend konnten wir Sie erreichen - Herzlichen Dank dafür aber es gibt auch Kritik: Die Wohnung war bei Ankunft viel zu kalt und es brauchte trotz zusätzlicher Heizgeräte fast 3 Tage bis es angenehm war. Das Stromnetz ist nicht ausreichend dimensioniert für den Winter, denn Heizung und Backrohr konnten nicht gleichzeitig in Betrieb genommen werden, da viel jedesmal die Sicherung. Die uns wirklich rasch ( Nochmals Dank an Maria! ) gebrachten zusätzlichen Heizgeräte konnten wir nur dank unserer selbst mitgebrachten Verteiler und Zwischenstecker überhaupt in Betrieb nehmen. Also - für Frühjahr und Sommer bis Ende September ist die Wohnung TOP, für den Winter können wir die Wohnung so leider nur bedingt empfehlen.
