It is the ideal place to stay in Lugano, whether you are there on business or for a fun city break. The living area has a large window and door that leads out onto a private balcony with a wooden table and two chairs for meals al fresco. Inside, there are pale stone floors and contemporary furniture, including a sofa, coffee table and a flat-screen Smart TV. At the other end of the room, there is an open-plan kitchen equipped with everything you might need during your stay: a cooker hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and Nespresso machine. Next to this is the dining table with 2 chairs. Sleeping There is a pull-down double bed in the living room. Bathroom The stylish stone-tiled bathroom has a glass shower, large basin and WC. The communal facilities include co-working space, a ground-floor bar and restaurant with outdoor seating, a large garden, gym and secure storage space. Even if you are in Lugano for business there are plenty of distractions for you to enjoy during your free time. For holiday-makers the options are endless. The Swiss/Italian heritage is celebrated at MASI (the Museum of Art of Italian Switzerland) (20 minute walk) which hosts regular contemporary art exhibitions. The city also hosts many festivals throughout the year, including the “Luganomusica” festival every summer. A day trip on the Lago Lugano is a must, as is a walk along Lugano’s famous waterfront, with breathtaking views over the lake. Another favourite is Piazza della Riforma (20 minute walk), the heart of the city. It is a beautiful square lined with excellent restaurants and cafés. For self-catering, there are many excellent food shops in the city, as well as the farmers market on Tuesday and Friday in Via Carducci (20 minutes walk). The closest international airports are in Italy - Milan Malpensa 1 hour and 5 minutes away by car, or Milan Linate, a 1 hour and 20 minute journey. Arriving by train? Lugano’s railway station is a 25 minute walk from the apartment.
