This glorious 2nd floor duplex in the centre of Argentière sleeps up to 6 people. Close to all the amenities and activities of this popular resort, there is plenty to do for all ages. It makes a wonderful holiday base for family or friends throughout the year. The apartment is full of light thanks to large French windows along the length of the living room. These open onto a private balcony, which looks out over forest and mountains. Inside, the décor is cosy and alpine, with wooden walls with exposed brick elements. There are 2 comfortable sofas, armchairs and wood-burning stove. The dining area with a table for 6, is next to the open-plan kitchen, which is separated from the main living room by a brick breakfast bar. The kitchen is well-equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster and drip coffee machine. Attractive wooden stairs lead up to a bedroom and bathroom. Sleeping The apartment has 3 cosy bedrooms. Each is furnished with a double bed. The 3rd (upstairs) bedroom has limited head height. Bathroom There are 2 separate bathrooms with contemporary tiling. Both have a shower, basin and W.C. As with the upstairs bedroom, the 2nd bathroom has limited head height. Additional • Balcony • Central heating • Fireplace • Electric radiators • Flatscreen TV • Shared garden • Smoke detector • Child-friendly • Private parking (garage height 1.85m), but car not necessary • Close to skiing & ski lifts • Ski storage Location The apartment is in a central, yet quiet area, of the village of Argentière, on the edge of the forest and the river, just a 4-minute walk from Les Grands Montets cable car. Giving guests easy access to the ski slopes and hiking routes in the summer months. All the facilities of the Chamonix region are on your doorstep. During the summer months, there are stunning mountain trails for hiking or mountain biking, white water rafting, golf, rock climbing, paragliding and horse riding. For winter sports, the slopes of Les Grands Montets are popular with intermediate and experienced skiers and snowboarders. Some of the higher slopes offer skiing later in the season, sometimes right up until early May. Argentière has many of the amenities that visitors need, including restaurants and a supermarket. The weekly market, where you can find the very best local ingredients, takes place every Sunday morning. Geneva airport is a 1 hour 20 minute drive from the apartment. There are free rail services between Argentière and Chamonix on the Mont Blanc Express.

The apartment is exceptionally well located, just a short walk (~200m) to both the Grands Montets ski lift (via a foot bridge over the river) and Argentiere’s shops and restaurants (500m). The lounge area is very spacious with a large private balcony. The two double rooms on the main level are simple, adequate with comfortable beds. The attic bedroom has a very, very low ceiling and is impossible to stand up straight. The bed is attic bed is old, creaky with an uncomfortable mattress. The kitchen is small and was lacking some basics. Decor is tired. Overall, great location but a poorly maintained and impersonally hosted property.
