For skiing, the Bellevue cable car is a 3-minute drive and the Aiguille du Midi cable car station is 10 minutes away. The town of Les Houches has much to offer visitors of all ages. Apart from the beautiful, alpine hiking trails, there are many other activities in the area: mountain biking, mountaineering, white water rafting, tennis courts, swimming pools and for even more excitement there is the Addicted Park Gaillards Adventure Park (8-minute drive). The Mont Blanc Express stops at Taconnaz station (4 minute drive), for excellent rail services in the Chamonix Valley, so visitors can easily explore the rest of the Chamonix area, all the way up to Mont Blanc. For self-catering, there are many supermarkets and smaller shops which sell local specialities. The weekly market (Wednesday afternoon) at Le Pain du Chibon (4 minutes) allows visitors to buy directly from producers. Geneva Airport is just over 1 hour away by car.
