Location In the heart of the Salento peninsula, the property is just a 3-minute drive from the centre of Melendugno. The town is easily explored on foot. Visitors will enjoy the lovely churches and the Castello Baronale d’Amely. There are several good local restaurants as well as a weekly market (Wednesday mornings) where you can find regional specialities such as olive oil, wine, cheese and fresh vegetables. Agricola Chiani is well-positioned for easy access to some of the most beautiful beaches in Salento. The beaches of San Foca and Torre dell’Orso, which are known for their pristine water, are less than 15 minutes away. The city of Lecce, the Florence of the South, (20 minutes) is famous for its wonderful Baroque architecture as well as its Roman ruins. It is a jewel of a city and well worth a visit, not only for its long history but also for its excellent food and good shopping. The closest airport is at Brindisi - just under an hour away by car.
