Parco Scherrer, Morcote's exotic gardens and sculpture park, is about a ten-minute walk. Lugano is around 15 to 20 minutes by car, or about 30 minutes by bus, with its Piazza della Riforma, lakeside walks, museums and larger supermarkets. Monte San Giorgio, a UNESCO fossil site with hiking trails, is roughly a 25-minute drive, and the lakeside village of Gandria is reachable in about 20 minutes by car, or by one of the seasonal Lake Lugano cruise boats that call at Morcote. Lugano Airport is about a 15-minute drive away.
