The city is best known for the Cannes Film Festival, luxury yachts, designer boutiques and its fantastic beaches (the closest is just a 5-minute stroll). Beyond the beach, visitors can enjoy the historic Le Suquet quarter (a 30-minute walk), the iconic palm-lined beachfront Boulevard de la Croisette (a 15-minute walk) and the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès (a 20-minute walk). The charming L’Ile Sainte-Marguerite is a few minutes by ferry from Cannes and makes the perfect day out, with gorgeous beaches and historic sites. Monaco, Nice and Antibes are all approximately a 1-hour and 30-minute trip by train. The city is also full of great cafés and restaurants, for authentic Provençal ingredients.
