The décor is stylish and contemporary with lots of bare wood. The seating area includes an attractive sofa, two armchairs and a flat-screen TV. The kitchen/dining area is party separated by a breakfast bar, which is useful for quick snacks. The dining table for 4 is next to the sleek fitted kitchen. Guests will find a range of restaurants and cafés in the town, as well as a small supermarket for groceries. Sestriere (20 minutes), which hosted the 2006 Winter Olympics, has a lot to offer throughout the year. In the winter months, there is cross-country skiing, heli-skiing, ice skating, motor sledging, dog sledging and snowshoeing. There is even an outdoor heated swimming pool which is open in the winter and summer seasons. Summer visitors can go hiking through the forests and alpine meadows. There are numerous tracks for mountain biking at all levels, as well as tennis, golf and swimming. The area also hosts many festivals and events for all ages, including environmental initiatives and cultural evenings. Turin airport is a 1-hour and 30-minute drive from the apartment.
