The single-storey house is modern and has been designed to reflect local architecture. The living room has vaulted ceilings with exposed stone work. It is furnished with a sofa, a collection of antiques and a flat-screen TV. The airy kitchen/diner is well-equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, Moka coffee maker and a fridge/freezer. There is a dining table in the kitchen but guests can also enjoy meals al fresco. Double doors open from the kitchen onto the shaded veranda that serves as an outdoor dining room. Next to the veranda is a stone BBQ and the private swimming pool. After a refreshing dip, guests can relax on the sun loungers, enjoying the peaceful surroundings and the attractive garden. Sleeping Bedroom 1: The master bedroom is accessed off the veranda. It is furnished with a luxurious double bed, a flat-screen TV and an antique wardrobe. This stretch of coast is known for its unspoiled rocky bays, small coves and crystal clear sea. There are also some beautiful, sandy beaches within a 10-minute drive. Guests will find everything they need in the charming town of Racale (10 minutes). Enjoy an aperitivo in the town’s main piazza or explore the Barons’ Castle. Discover local delicacies and the freshest ingredients at the town’s weekly market (Tuesday mornings) or sample the local cuisine at one of the excellent restaurants. The port of Gallipoli (the Beautiful City), which was founded by Greek settlers thousands of years ago, is just 20 minutes away. Here you will find fascinating historical sites, ancient city walls and some of the best fish in Salento. It is the ideal day out.
