On the ground-floor, with a private courtyard, the house sleeps 4 people. The entrance is through the courtyard, where guests can enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of local wine. There are two doors leading into the house. One opens into the living room, with vaulted stone ceilings. Here guests will find a sofa, flat-screen tv and a sleeping area, screened off from the main room. The separate kitchen/dining room is well-equipped with an induction hob, oven, Moka coffee maker and a fridge/freezer. There is a 2nd door which leads to the courtyard. Sleeping Bedroom 1: The cosy master bedroom also has a vaulted stone ceiling. It is furnished with a double bed, a sofa and a wardrobe. Bedroom 2: This bedroom is screened off from the living room. Location Tricase is a beautiful little town, with an imposing central square, the Piazza Pisanelli, next to the Palazzo Gallone and some impressive churches. Visitors can enjoy one of the many excellent cafés and restaurants in the square. For self-catering, the town’s weekly market takes place every Tuesday. Here you will find the best local ingredients to cook at home. The famous beach and natural swimming pool at Marina Serra are only a 10-minute drive. There are other beautiful beaches along the Adriatic coast. Not to be missed is the city of Lecce (50-minute drive), known as the “Florence of the South” and blessed with wonderful Baroque architecture as well as Roman ruins. It is a jewel of a city and well worth a visit. Not only for its long history but also for its excellent food and good shopping. The closest airport is Salento Airport, Brindisi – 1 hour and 20 minutes away by car.
