Tucked between wooded hills and the Ligurian Sea, a 50-minute drive north of the Cinque Terre, Framura is described as one of Liguria’s hidden gems and offers a peaceful alternative to the busier Riviera resorts. The small harbour at Porto di Framura (an 8-minute walk) is hidden among rocky inlets and adds to the village’s charm. The closest beach to the apartment is Porto Pidocchio, a 12-minute walk away, the closest restaurant is a 7-minute walk away, and for self-catering, there is a small supermarket a 5-minute drive away. Visitors can also take a trip to the Wine Experience of Framura, a 7-minute drive. Framura is made up of several small historic hamlets scattered across the hillsides, linked by old paths, terraces and olive groves. Among them is Montaretto (a 15-minute drive), a scenic hilltop hamlet with panoramic sea views and traditional stone houses. The surrounding area is known for its secluded coves, small beaches and dramatic coastal scenery with excellent walking and cycling opportunities. A popular route follows the old railway line along the sea, now a scenic cycle and pedestrian path connecting Framura with Bonassola and Levanto. Hiking trails also lead through vineyards and woodland with picturesque views over the coast. The closest international airport is Genoa Cristoforo Colombo (GOA), approximately a 1-hour drive from the accommodation.
