Vacation amidst rolling hills, vineyards, and olive groves at this beautifully restored period villa is just minutes from the historic centre of Lucca and the beaches of Viareggio. Accommodating up to 15 guests across two independent apartments, the property enjoys a unique microclimate with refreshing breezes that create a relaxing atmosphere throughout the year. The apartment offers a bright living room with a double sofa bed and Smart TV. A kitchen is fully equipped with an induction hob, fridge, chest freezer, microwave, Dolce Gusto coffee machine, toaster, and electric kettle, as well as a dining area with direct access to a furnished terrace for outdoor dining. A private hot tub provides the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. This apartment also includes two spacious double bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower. The first-floor apartment is accessed via 20 comfortable steps and includes a small games room equipped with a toaster, electric kettle, filter coffee machine, and mini electric oven. A well-equipped kitchen features a gas hob, extractor hood, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, and a dining area with table and chairs. Positioned in a peaceful valley between the Tyrrhenian coast and the Apuan Alps, the villa is crossed by the River Serchio and the Freddana stream and sits alongside the historic Via Francigena route. The Host maintains a private room on the ground floor with a shared main entrance, but with an independent door on the opposite side to the ground-floor apartment entrance. The host is only present at night to provide support if needed, guaranteeing maximum discretion to ensure a peaceful and private stay. The Villa is set within a well-manicured garden furnished for relaxation, featuring a barbecue and wood-fired oven for outdoor dining, a children’s play area, and a garden tent set up for stargazing. This property also stands out for its dedication to your four-legged friends: a fenced exercise area with a pool, a relaxation lounge to share with them, and a grooming kit including a shower and a "Dog Welcome Kit."The property features a single main entrance leading to two self-contained apartments that are not internally connected. Located in the Cappella area, it is an excellent choice for families, groups of friends, and cycling enthusiasts looking to experience the Tuscan countryside. The Via Francigena passes alongside the villa, while the Serchio River Park offers excellent walking and cycling routes nearby. A short drive leads to the historic centre of Lucca, where visitors can explore Piazza dell’Anfiteatro, Via Fillungo, Torre Guinigi, the Cathedral and the famous Renaissance Walls. Nearby attractions include the Villa Reale di Marlia, historic villas and monumental gardens. Nature lovers can discover the lakes of Isola Santa, Gramolazzo and Lago Santo, the natural pools of Candalla, the forests of Garfagnana and Orecchiella Park. Outdoor activities in the region include canyoning, rafting, kayaking, climbing, caving, mountain biking and quad tours. The Versilia coast and the beaches of Viareggio are also within easy reach. Guests can enjoy wine tastings in the Lucca Hills and Montecarlo area, Tuscan cooking classes, vineyard aperitifs, private picnics and local markets. The area is also known for cultural attractions and events such as Lucca Comics & Games, the Puccini Festival, the Viareggio Carnival, Verdemura and Murabilia. The nearest international airports are Pisa G. Galilei Airport, approximately 35 minutes away by car, and Florence A. Vespucci Airport, approximately 1 hour away by car.
