The main beach is framed by pale cliffs and Mediterranean scrub. The surrounding coastline is dotted with small coves and rocky inlets. There is a restaurant approximately a 5-minute walk away and a supermarket within a 10-minute drive in Palmadula. The port of Alghero (40 minutes) is a charming collection of architecture, from the ancient walls that encircle the city, to the Gothic cathedral. A day wandering through its cobbled streets is a rewarding experience, especially if it involves lunch at one of the many delicious, local restaurants. For the best and freshest local produce, a trip to the central market is very worthwhile. Porto Torres (35 minutes) is the closest town for amenities such as supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants and banks. There are also ferries from Porto Torres to Corsica, Spain and mainland France. Alghero airport is 30 minutes away.
