Its medieval streets, with pretty squares and excellent restaurants, will keep tempting you back. For self-catering, Agropoli’s weekly market takes place every Thursday morning. It is the best place to pick up the freshest local ingredients. There is also the Cilento Earth Market, which is part of the Slow Food movement, and takes place on the first Sunday of each month. History lovers will be spoiled for choice. The famous ruins of Pompeii are 1 hour and 20 minutes. Closer to home is the fascinating site of Paestum (20 minutes). Naples airport is a 1-hour, 40-minute drive from the house.
